Morgan's POV

I park my car in the school's parking lot and undo my seatbelt. Luke gets out of the car and hurries into the building before anyone could notice him in the same at as me. Yeah, nobody at school knows we are step siblings except my friends; not even his friends know.

I huff and puff as I walk with Ben through the chill weather to the front door that Luke entered in moments earlier. Ben holds the door open for me and I thank him as I walk in, him following after me. The warm air of inside hits my face and I release a sigh. It feels so good inside here, finally out of the cold.

"Where's the group?" Ben asks me and I look around for our friends.

"Oh, there!" I say and point to the people in one of the back corners. Ben follows my finger and we walk together to our people.

"Morgan!" Haley chirps when she sees me. She brings me into a hug and an 'oof' sound comes out of my mouth. I slowly and weirdly put my arms around her. "I missed you so much."

"Girl, you just saw me Friday," I say with a chuckle at the end. "Calm down."

"Sorry," she says and breaks the hug. I laugh and greet everybody else.

"Where's Jack?" I ask as I search the group.

"Smoking in the back," answers Zach. I nod. Behind the dumpster in the back of the school is where Jack always smokes. Somehow he never gets caught.

"Anything new with good looking Hemmings?" Lyric asks me and I almost face palm myself.

"First, he is not good looking." Lie. "Second, no actually." Yes, Luke is extremely good looking, I can't deny that, but he is my step brother and I can't be thinking about him like that. Plus, I can't even be in the dude's presence for five minutes without wanting to punch him in the throat.

"That's a load of bull," Haley says. "You like him as you know you like him; don't even try denying it."

"He may be a little cute," I tell her and she 'aww's when she sees a slight blush rising to my cheeks. "Besides, he doesn't like me; we barely even talk. He's my step brother also, so even if he did like me that way, we couldn't be together."

"Morgan, he's your step brother," Haley tells me. "Step brother. It's not like he is your real brother. You guys aren't related at all so it would not be wrong. If he did like you back and you guys did get together, you just need to make sure that kids at school and your parents don't find out."

"Whatever," I say and the warning bell rings. "I got to go. See ya."

Everyone says a chorus of 'bye's and I go to my locker. I take my stuff out of my bag and stuff my bag in the way too small locker. They really need to get bigger lockers here because I can barely have my textbooks and backpack in there at the same time.

I shut my locker when I am finished and head off to my homeroom.
