Haley's POV
Joshua Davids' house was packed, but that didn't surprise me. He was so popular at school, that when school ended, there would literally be girls around his car, waiting for him. I don't blame them for liking him so much. He is very hot, muscular, and a bad boy. Everything a girl looking for nowadays.
"I'm going to get us something to drink!" I yell to Morgan over the blasted music. She nods and situates herself on an empty couch in the corner as I make my way into the kitchen. She is literally like this at any party we go to.
I am quite surprised Morgan texted me, wanting to go out tonight. Lately, she has been distant and hasn't been as talkative as she used to be. If I knew better, I would say there is a guy in her life.
After squeezing through sloppy, grinding teens, I walk to the fridge after pulling the bottom of my dress down a bit because while I was on my way in here, it rose. In the kitchen, there are as many people as there are in the living room and dining room.
I find a bottle of Cherry vodka and a water bottle in the fridge and grab those two. Morgan already agreed to be the designated driver tonight and I had no problem with that.
"Hey, girl," an ugly guy says to me as I try to leave the kitchen, but he blocks the doorway.
"Hi. Bye," I reply then push past him and into the dining room. I hold the drinks close to me as I squirm through bodies and make it into the living room, where I see Morgan still siting on that couch alone, playing with the bottom of her dress.
"Here," I say when I get to her, handing the bottle of water to her. She takes it and thanks me.
"Are you planning to get drunk or wasted?" She asks me, seeing my bottle of vodka.
"We'll have to see," I say with a smirk and take a swig from the bottle. "Let's dance!" I tell and drag her with me to the middle of the room where many and many people are dancing and grinding up against each other.
I find a cute guy and steal him from the girl he was dancing with. I don't know him, but I don't care. The girl scoffs and stomps away, soon finding another guy to dance with. I take drink after drink from the bottle as I grind with the boy. I look beside me to see that Morgan is missing. But my buzzed self doesn't care as I dance with this stranger.
Morgan's POV
I sit on the steps outside of the house, looking into the night sky. Partying hasn't really been my thing and I don't get why I thought tonight would be different.
I feel a tap on my shoulder and turn to look at the boy.
"Hey," Joshua says and takes a seat to my left. "What are you doing out here, Morgan?"
"You know my name?" I ask him rather calmly.
"Of course," he says with a cute smile. "Now, answer my question, beautiful."
I cover up my unneeded blush with the answer to his question. "I don't know," I say honestly. "I'm just not doing too good right now."
"Well, let me help you with that," he says as he stands up, holding out a hand for me. With his other, he pushes back a strand of black hair.
"I-I don't think I-" I stumble out but then get cut off.
"Stop being up tight," he tells me. "Come on, you'll have fun."
I look around me at the nice neighborhood. They'll be mad when this party continues all night.
"Okay," I say, taking his hand and giving in. He pulls me up with his strong arms and we walk inside together. He brings me to where I see Haley making out with a cute boy and begins dancing with me. Good thing I am a good dancer. I sway my hips as the music plays all around me. I look at Joshua as he looks at me, and I make sure I am not too close to him, seeing as I have a good thing going for me and Tommy.
"Yeah," he yells. "There you go."
He bring my hips to him and starts to sway us, but I pull away as soon as I can, dancing a little bit away from him.
Tommy pops up in my head and I begin to regret that I didn't invite him. And as soon as I do, I send him a quick text telling him to come and the address.
