Here We Are

Morgan's POV

Time passes by and soon enough it's my birthday. I'm not feeling too up for it, but I have to act happy for my family. It's a Saturday so I don't have to worry about school today.

I also haven't given Tommy an answer to his proposal, but he doesn't seem at all worried about it, letting me have my time, which I am grateful for.

"So I was hoping you would see a movie with me," says Lyric. "It's my treat and you can pick the movie."

"Well I'm pretty sure I have nothing to do, so I guess I'm up for it," I reply and she claps.

"Okay. Get ready and I'll be down here waiting."

I go upstairs and change into red skinny jeans, a Bruno Mars t-shirt and black flats.

"Let's go," she says and we leave, her driving. I was the only one home and my mom told me I could do whatever, but be back before eleven, my curfew.

"Here we go," says Lyric and we get out.

I end up picking Baywatch because I have yet to see it and Lyric hasn't seen it either. We sit in the back and snack on popcorn as we wait for the previews to end and the movie to start.

The movie was amazing and I loved it, Lyric as well.

"Awesome movie!" Exclaims Lyric.

"I know right!" I reply. I check my phone. It's 9:55. I am really tired though, so I ask Lyric to take me home.

"Okay," she responds. We get going back to my house.

Lyric decided to walk me up to the door. We walk and I unlock the door, after seeing that both my mom and her husband are here, but not Luke.

"Thanks for the movie," I say to Lyric.

"No problem," she tells me. Lyric, just like Jack, has seemed to change a bit, but not in the bad way like Jack. She's been nicer and has stopped most of the bad things she's done. That I know of.

I open the front door and turn on the light.

"Surprise!"
