Morgan's POV

The engagement ring has been a huge weight for me: in my heart and in my top dresser drawer where my undergarments are. The fact that Tommy had actually proposed me is still on my mind, it being the only thing I can actually think about.

But can you blame me? This is a big decision, a big step I would be taking.

I try to calm my mind, thinking about how happy I am that my mom and Andrew came home, well more like just my mom. I had actually stayed with Zach the rest of the time of them being gone and I came home today.

I haven't talked to Luke yet, and I know that I need to.

"How was Zach's house, honey?" My mom asks me, coming into my room while I text Arianna, telling her to come over.

"It was fine. Friends came over during the day and stuff, but that's pretty much it." I pause. "Arianna is coming over by the way."

"Okay, sweetie. Have you given any thought of what you want for your birthday yet?"

Oh yeah, my birthday is in two weeks.

"No, not really. I don't think I want anything," I answer.

"But you only turn nineteen one once."

"I know, mom. You turn every age once."

"Alright. Well, you can have Arianna stay for dinner," she tells me.

"Okay," I reply.

Arianna tells me she can stay until midnight, since she needs to be home around then.

My mom leaves my room and I get my pajamas that consist of sweatpants and a loose crop top, getting in the bathroom to take a shower. I lock the door and strip all the way down to nothing. I get the water exactly to where I need it. Soon, I am under the water when my eyes close and tears pour out of them. The weight of the pressure on my heart is really pressing down.

A sob leaves my mouth as I hold onto the shower wall in front of me for standing support, and my knees bend a little. Tears and sobs pour out of me as water pours all around me.

What if I make the wrong choice?

Arianna shows up at the house an hour after I finished my shower and she is already asking me questions right after she shuts my bedroom door.

"What is going on girl?"

"What do you mean?" I ask her.

"Things seem a little off about you. What is it?"

This girl knows me too well. I sigh and get off my bed, getting the ring out. When she sees it, she gasps, covering her mouth with her hands. "No!"

"He proposed right after school today," I tell her.

We continue talking, me explaining everything between Luke, Jack, and Tommy, and how I feel about the whole thing.
