Morgan's POV

Graduation came around and I was super happy to graduate and get out of the hellhole called school, but no doubt am I going to forget seeing all of my friends every day. All of us are dressed in our caps and gowns and the ceremony is in the auditorium.

The principal begins his speech as we all sit in front of him, anxious. "Class of 2017, the new generation joining the difficult adult world, this is your time! This is your time to show the world you are ready for whatever it throws at you, that you can make it through life.."

His speech continues on and on and I pretty much doze off until the valedictorian is finished, time for people to walk up and receive their diplomas.

"And now," says the principal, "the class of 2017!"

One by one he calls up names in alphabetical order as we get up row by row to receive our diplomas. I hear Luke's name and shiver. It comes to my row and the line to the stage gets shorter. Soon I am next.

"Morgan Mathis," he calls and I walk up to the principal. "Congratulations. I know you will do well in this world," he tells me as I shake his hand.

"Thank you, sir," I reply before stepping off and returning to my seat as other names are called off.

I glance at the laminated paper in a folded frame I worked so hard for and smile. I did it. I graduated.

I look up across the walls at Luke. He doesn't seem too happy, but I guess that could be because of anything.

The ceremony ends soon and we are reunited with our parents. And I am met again with my boyfriend Tommy. I still haven't have him an answer, but I have a feeling I know what I am going to say.

"I am so proud of you!" My mom says, kissing my cheek. "You too," she says to Luke when he comes up. She gives him a hug.

"Congrats both of you," Andrew says. Me and Luke thank him.

Tommy takes me away from the three and I shriek when he picks me up and twirls me around. "I am so proud of you baby!" I laugh and thank him before he sets me down. And then I am met with his lips. He gives me a long peck before pulling away, smiling. "I love you," he tells me.

"I love you too baby."

Now I just need to apply to colleges and see which ones I can get into.

At home me and Tommy stay in my room, laying in bed. It's been a long but good day, and I still can not believe I am no longer in high school. My official adult life has started.

"I gotta pee," Tommy tells me as he detaches himself from me and getting up.

"Thanks for letting me know," I call to him as he leaves the room and shuts the door behind me.

I get up, getting the idea that I should let Tommy know my answer now. Opening my top dresser drawer, I open the box and take on the ring, putting it on my left ring finger. Then I close the drawer. Laying back down, I wait until Tommy comes back.

The door opens and I am met with my guy again. I have to bite the inside of my mouth to stop myself from just telling him already.

Tommy takes his spot again by my. I make sure I move my hand so he can see the ring he got for me.

His eyes widen and his mouth forms an 'o' and that's how I know he saw. "Really?" He asks me and I nod my head, letting my smile break free. "You're saying yes?" I nod my head again and he attacked me, hugging me really hard.

I laugh in his embrace an he pulls me up with him. I become nervous when he pulls me downstairs, where I know my mom, Andrew, and Luke are.

Tommy stops us before the three and says, "We are engaged."

All the reactions are different. I know my mother is happy, Andrew must be confused, and I don't know exactly how Luke feels, but he looks somewhat happy.

My mom gets up to talk to Tommy and I realize just how fast this is moving between me and him, but I know I made a great decision.

I go over to Luke to talk to him where only he can hear me. "I know what you did," I tell him, "and I know you knew about this all. Thank you."

He gives me a small smile and I know he means it. "You're welcome, Morgan. I just want you to be happy."

"I appreciate it Luke," I say and lean in to hug him. He hugs me back, his hand rubbing my shoulder blade.

Then I believe Luke when he says he truly wants me to be happy, no matter who I am with.
