EDITED

Morgan's POV

The evening ended quite well, better than I would have expected. Luke did not say one thing all throughout dinner and I was still the only person who noticed he did not eat anything.

It kinda does hurt me to know that I am the one who had caused him pain, but what can I do? We couldn't work out and all that makes sense is for me to move away from the situation and try to focus on moving along, and I am most definitely doing that with Tommy; Tommy makes me really happy.

I walk him to his car, us holding hands. He brushed over my hand and stops just at the driver side of his car. He turns around so he is against the door and I am standing in front of him. I run my free hand over the side of his face, feeling his soft skin and admiring how attractive he is. How did he take an interest in somebody like me? He is most definitely too good for me.

I move my hand down to hook it on his side. He then brushes his free thumb over my lips. I smile, knowing he wants to kiss me. He brings his hand underneath my chin, pulling my face while leaning his face down so our lips can meet. I deepen the kiss immediately, feeling his tongue brush against my own.

"Okay, okay. I think that is enough." I roll my eyes when we pull away, my mom's pice loud enough for both of us to hear.

Tommy laughs from across from me. I apologize, "I'm so sorry if anything went bad tonight, really. And I'm sorry about my mother just now."

"It's okay." He runs a hand down my arm, making me feel all warm inside. "I'm glad I was able to meet them, Luke aside since we had that weird..encounter at the club that one day and I had already met him before."

"Yeah...again, I'm sorry about that," I tell him and he shakes his head, saying, "It's fine honestly. I understand."

I smile and peck his lips again. "I'm going to miss you."

"I'm going to miss you too."

We say goodbye and he leaves before I head back inside, my mom telling me that she likes the boy. I'm glad at least one other person in the household does.

Over the next few days, me and Luke are not on good terms, arguing and yelling at each other over stupid things, such as: where the remote was last placed; who left something on the couch; who left food out; etc. Mainly, it is Luke, wanting to pick a fight. And I know it's because of the fact of me and Tommy.

"Kids," my mother begins, "we have to go to Oregon for business for two weeks. We leave in two days. But we have to talk about what will be happening while we are gone."

Andrew speaks. "Morgan, you will staying with the Anderson's and Luke you will be staying here."

"What?!" I exclaim. "I'm not going to someone's house to stay for two weeks!"

"Yes you are!" My mom says loudly. "You two have been arguing nonstop and I'm not letting that happen while we are gone. Who knows? Maybe you guys would burn the house down." I roll my eyes and scoff.

"What has happened to this family?" Asks Andrew, the one I want to punch the most. "We were a great family before you two decided to ruin it all with all the fighting lately."

"Oh please," chimes in Luke. "This family was never a great family, dad."

"I have had it!" Andrew tells as he stands up all so suddenly, causing the table to wiggle. "You are going over to someone's house to stay and that's it!" He says as he points an ugly looking finger at me.

"Thanks, mom," I begin, looking her in the eye, "for marrying a rich snob that is making me leave the house when it was ours first and wants to ruin my life."

I stand up and run up to my room.

I am tired of this. I am tired of being treated like a kid. I am tired of not being able to think properly. And I am tired of not being able to do what I need myself at the age of 18.

I grab my phone from my bed and text Haley.

Let's go out. It's Friday so why not?

I sit down as I wait for her reply.

Sounds great. Joshua Davids is having a party tonight anyways.

We'll go there.

Awesome. Be there in a bit.

Through my window.

Kk.

I throw my phone down and get up to look in my closet for something to wear. Joshua Davids is pretty popular and I don't want to look terrible for his party. He doesn't invite people, he just lets whoever come and invite themselves in.

I look and look until my eyes come across the perfect dress. Mid thigh, black, strapless, and made from soft fabric. I put it on my bed and lock my bedroom door.

In my bathroom, I take a shower and shave. After massaging my scalp with my strawberry shampoo and conditioner and washing my body with coconut body wash, I rinse myself off then dry myself.

Walking back into my bedroom, I see Haley laying on my bed.

"Hey," she says and I don't even act the tiniest bit of startled because I actually am not. I go to my dresser and pick out a black strapless bra and matching panties.

"Hi," I reply and go back to the bathroom. We may be best friends but I we don't get dressed in front of each other. I slip on my undergarment then walk out and put my dress on over.

"That looks amazing!" Haley squeals and I smile at her.

"Thanks bae," I say and she goes to look through my closet, choosing the shortest dress I own. It will make her butt hang out, is turquoise, and has spaghetti straps and a swear heart neckline. She takes it to the bathroom to get dressed. I look at the bottom of my closet until I find my black pumps. I put then on and go over to my vanity. I do a smokey eye and put on light pink lipgloss. I don't need a whole lot because I'll be going to bed right after this party anyways.

I take my hair out of the towel and brush it out in the bathroom when Haley gets out. I just throw it in a messy bun and call it that. I put on perfume as Haley slips on my white wedged sandals.

She does her makeup with my makeup and we are all set.

"Let's go," I say as I grab my black cardigan from a hook on my wall. We help each other out of my window and to Haley's car.
