Usually only fools fall for Felix, but Felix was a fool to fall for a girl that he never thought he'd fall in love with.  The song is Fools by Troye Sivan. Hope ya vote if you like it! Takes place in season 12 episodes 18 & 19. I'll let you know when to play the music.

Felix sat in a room, his head hung low and his heart painfully heavy. Tears dried on his cheeks. In a matter of minutes, he and Locus would have to speak to Hargrove and inform him of their failure. His mind went back to the day he met (Y/n), a tan and (f/c) colored New Republic soldier.

*Felix's recalled memory*

She'd been sitting there by the toxic lake, helmet by her side. Her (h/c) , (h/l) hair fell over her eyes. He'd taken off his helmet, sat next to her, and gave her a cocky sideways grin that always looked so hot even if it was sinister.  Felix turned to her.  "Well, hope you don't mind me sitting here.  I'm just enjoying the view."  (Y/n) gave him a confused look.  "But you're not looking at the lake."  His grin grew wider.  "I know."

She'd been such a fool to fall for him.  (Y/n) wasn't sure she could've helped it though.  Not with the way he kissed her, pinned her up against the wall and whispered sweet, devilish words in her ear before he took her right there in his private room.  He messed with her head but in such a way, she almost craved it.

(Y/n) had spent countless hours in that room with him, tracing his tattoos with her finger and talking about the future and what would happen to them after the war.  She had actually come to know Felix better than Felix had wanted her too.  (Y/n) knew the things that set him off, but also knew just the perfect ways to calm him down.

All the while, Felix had been worried she would find out about his... Job.  He wouldn't want to kill his favorite plaything now would he?  Felix, being the devil he was, enjoyed this game he was playing very much.  Watching her fall, just so he could take it all away.

Though there was fun in the game, Felix truly did enjoy the (h/c) haired and (e/c) eyed girl's attention along with her company.  Of course he'd never admit it to himself or anyone for that matter.  Sadly for Felix, over the years he was with (Y/n), the game he played became something he never thought would be a problem, it became love.

Felix realized this when he began to seek her out for comfort, instead of the other way around.  Usually Felix had given her just enough attention to keep her clinging to him so he could manipulate her, now that wasn't the case.  Felix wanted her touch, he wanted her to run her hands through his hair, and tell him things were gonna be okay.

Realization had hit him hard when he began to understand that he loved her smile, he loved the way she would laugh and gently tug on his bottom lip whenever he fake pouted at her, he loved how she could always calm him down so he didn't kill some poor soul who happened to piss him off.

Felix decided he wanted to keep her. Once the job was done, he would make up some perfect lie, get Locus to play out that lie, and he could keep her all to himself.  He ordered a ring the next day. Isaac "Felix" Gates, the universe's most prideful and greedy man, bought an engagement ring. Of course she said "yes" and Felix thought he'd never be unhappy again.

And that was true, he never would be that happy again, no money in the world could buy what he'd lost the day he was revealed by Tucker and the rest of the Reds and Blues.  Unbeknownst to Felix, (Y/n) had been standing there behind a crate while Felix gave out his little speech to Tucker.

"W-what?!" Felix whipped around from where Tucker was squatted down to see (Y/n) standing there, her pistol shaking in her hands as she aimed it hesitantly at Felix's head. Felix immediately panicked, when did she get here? How? She wasn't supposed to be with the Reds and Blues!?! "(Y/n)? Babe? What are you doing here? How did you get here?"

"I was transported here by accident, y-you betrayed us..... You betrayed me." She snarled the last part, yet at the same time choked down a sob.

"I would have never hurt you (Y/n)! I-I may have betrayed you but, think of our future! This money, could buy us anything! We could literally have anything!" "I didn't want money!"   (Y/n) had torn her helmet off and tossed it aside angrily. "I wanted you! But you... You're a traitor!" Angry tears spilled down her cheeks as she bared her teeth in a feral growl aimed towards Felix.

He didn't know what he should do. Suddenly, she placed the gun to her temple, looking Felix dead in the eye. Felix's own eyes immediately widened and even Tucker shouted, "Don't do it!"

Felix took a cautious step toward her, reaching for her. "(Y/n), babe-". "Don't." (Y/n) cut him off. Her voice filled with pain, anger, and disbelief. "I won't be one of your dolls, you think you can just play with people?! We are not things! You like pain do you? You like to play with people, well Felix, play with this." (Y/n) tore off the ring that hung on a chain around her neck. She narrowed (e/c) slits at him before whispering. "I was a fool to fall for you." The sound of a gunshot ran through everyone's ears as well as Felix's heartbroken shout.

"NO!" Felix ran to her limp body catching her just before she hit the ground. "(Y-y/n)?" His voice shook, he knew there was no saving her but that didn't stop him from checking for a pulse. Nothing, there was nothing. He knew that. Felix's rage grew, he aimed his gun at Tucker. "You.... YOU'RE DEAD!!!" Carolina aimed the laser at him. "I wouldn't, if I were you."

Sarge spoke up from behind her. "Urrf. You know, those sticky grenades kick like a mule. But I hear these newfangled laser blasters are quite lethal." Felix laid (Y/n)'s body on the ground, standing over her, he held up his light shield.

Locus walked up to stand by Felix, his back facing him and he barely cast a glance at the body on the ground. He knew what she had meant to Felix. Locus's deep voice sounded annoyed when he spoke. "The mission was a failure. Protocol states we are to report back to Control immediately." Felix's eyes wandered down to (Y/n). He hissed through his teeth. "They're injured. We can kill them. Now." "No, we follow orders." Locus turned to the troopers with the teleportation cube. "Let me assure you all, this is not over." The cube burst into light, not taking (Y/n)'s body, but instead, the ring she had hastily torn off. Felix had found the ring and chain lying by his boot.

*end of Felix's recall of events*

Felix stood up, it was time to talk to the chairman. He clutched the chained ring in his hand and placed it around his neck. Tucking it under his armor, he wiped away the tears and placed on his helmet. Felix sucked in a deep breath and acted as though he hadn't lost all his cocky composure. Though, as he walked out to meet up with Locus, (Y/n)'s last words replayed through his head forever haunting him and striking pain through his heart.

"I was a fool to fall for you."
