Ice Cold Love (Ayato x reader)

Chapter 1

(Y/n)'s POV

I was now in a limo going to the place my uncle sent me to live. Yeah, that's right...uncle. My mum died giving birth to me. My father suicided soon after her death. He couldn't bear the thought of 'killing my mother'. He thought he was the one that killed her.

My friend, Saee, decided to come along because she didn't want to be left by herself and also because she was worried about me. I was glad I had such a good friend. She was in the car behind mine.

A few minutes later, we arrived at a mansion but another car pulled up in the driveway as well. Saee and I stepped out at the same time and took our luggage. When our cars drove off, a girl with blonde hair and pink-coloured eyes got out.

"Hi, I'm (Y/n). Nice to meet you."
"I'm Yui Komori. I was sent here to live," she greeted.
"I'm Saee, I just came along for fun." I smiled at both of them and grabbed their hands.
"Come on, let's go."

We walked up to the big doors. I knocked but there was no answer. Suddenly, the door opened by itself. Creepy. We walked inside and looked around. There was a boy around our age, sleeping on a nearby couch. We walked up to him. He had messy red hair and a handsome face. I shook him but he wouldn't wake up. Yui touched his hand.

"It's ice cold," she exclaimed. She bent down to try to hear his heartbeat.
"He has no heartbeat, we've got to call the ambulance," she said worriedly.

She got out her cellphone and started to dial the numbers. She was stopped when the boy grabbed her hand. His eyes looked like emeralds...they were mesmerising.

"You're being too noisy, yours truly is trying to sleep." He let go of Yui before looking at me.
"What are you, some kind of ice princess?" he asked.

I often got bullied a lot at school for having this birthmark. I thought it cool but others thought I was still trying to dress up as a princess, just like any 6 year old would do. Saee was one of those people that didn't judge.

"No, she's not," Saee snapped back. He grabbed me and pulled me onto the couch. I stared into his eyes before he suddenly licked my neck.

"W-what are you doing?!"
"Your scent's so sweet," he exclaimed while pinning me to the couch. What was he talking about?
"Take such activities to your own room, Ayato."

Another person appeared. He had blackish-coloured hair and purplish eyes. He also wore glasses. He looks like a student and a butler at the same time.

"Who are you all and what are you doing here?" he asked us.
"I'm (Y/n), that's Saee and Yui. Yui and I were sent here to live while Saee came as a loyal friend to me," I informed him.
"I wasn't told anything about this. Come, we will discuss this matter somewhere else."

We followed him into a living room before sitting down on the couch. Ayato appeared out of nowhere. Then two other people appeared seemingly out of nowhere. One had similar features as Ayato but wore a fedora hat. The other had purple hair and purple eyes. He was also carrying a teddy bear.

"My, my, what do we have here?" the one with the fedora hat asked.
"They smell sweet, don't you think, Teddy?" asked the purple-haired one. They licked Yui's ears. I pushed them away.
"Don't just go around licking people."

Then someone appeared on the couch. He had earphones on him. It sounded like he was listening to classical music but I wasn't sure. Yes, I was a half vampire.

Another person appeared out of nowhere. He had snow white hair and reddish-coloured eyes. They all looked good in my opinion. I could tell Saee was thinking the same thing but she looked more interested in the blondie.

"Let's start by introducing ourselves. That's Shu, the eldest and I'm Reiji. Those are the triplets: Ayato, Kanato and Laito. Over there is the youngest, Subaru." I smiled.
"Nice to meet you." They either scowled or showed an emotionless face.
"Shu, did you know anything about this?" Reiji asked him.
"I think I heard about it from him. He said that two girls - or more specifically, sacrificial brides - would be coming to live here." He then went back to sleep.
"Why didn't you tell me earlier?!" Reiji asked, irritated.
"I forgot," Shu answered sleepily.
"This must be some mistake, we'll just be leaving now," Yui said while grabbing our hands.

She tried to go but fell over and scraped her knee. A small amount of blood appeared. Saee and I could control our thirst for blood. Yui looked at brothers...well, I thought they were brothers. Yui seemed to have a frightened expression on her face. Their eyes appeared to be glowing.

"V-vampires?" Yui asked, frightened. She was about to hold out a cross but I stopped her.
"That won't work."
"H-how do you know?"
"*sigh* I didn't want to tell you this but Saee and I are half vampires."

Her eyes widened in shock. The others looked thirsty. Saee and I stood protectively in front of Yui.

"Don't you dare lay a finger on her," I warned.
"Yours truly wants blood."
"Then take mine." He teleported next to me. Saee and I couldn't teleport. He lifted my chin up.
"You're ice cold," he exclaimed.
"Yeah, I know. It's because of this."

I took off my glove and touched the wall. A thin layer of ice started to form.

"I can't really control it yet."

They all looked shocked. Despite this, Ayato sank his fangs into my neck and drank my blood. The feeling was one of pain but there was also something else.

"Your blood tastes like a sweet dessert," he commented.
"Um thank you?" Suddenly, my head started to hurt a lot.

Saee's POV

Oh no. It was happening again. "(Y/n), (Y/n)?" She started to fall but Ayato caught her.
"What happened?" Reiji asked.
"I don't exactly know. Ever since she got her powers, she's been having these headaches. She has to control her power by her 17th birthday or her curse will come true."
"What curse?" Laito asked. "If she doesn't learn how to control her powers by then, she'll become a lifeless soul wondering the surface of the earth until a few days later, her body will turn into ashes."

Ayato's POV

I looked at her sleeping face. She looked so beautiful...wait, what did I just say?!

"I'll take her to a room to rest."
"That's very considerate of you," Saee said then added, "Why are you all staring at us?"
"Well, it's just that Ayato has never behaved this way before. The only thing he cares about is himself," Laito replied.
"Tch."
