Chapter 5

(Y/n)'s POV

I changed into my uniform and went downstairs. Saee and Yui were already there.

"Hey guys."
"Hi," they greeted.
"When are we leaving?"
"I'm pretty sure we're leaving in a few seconds *points to the limo*," Saee replied.

I looked inside. They must've teleported. We went inside and sat down in the empty seats.

"I'm bored."
"But we just got on!" Saee exclaimed.
"Don't care." Laito teleported next to me.
"Go away." He put an arm around my shoulder.
"Get off, you pervert."
"What if I don't?"
"Sorry, what was your name again? Latte?" The brothers were trying to hold in their laughter.
"That might be your new nickname from now on."

He grabbed my wrist and sank his fangs in the same place I bit him. The headache started to come back and it was way worse with Laito drinking my blood.

"Stop! Can you see that she's suffering from that headache again?!" Saee yelled. My vision got blurry. Ayato pulled him away. I blacked out.

~At school~

I woke up and found myself in the infirmary. Saee and Yui were sitting beside me.

"I'm so glad you're awake," exclaimed Yui.
"What happened?"
"Well, after you blacked out, Ayato brought you here and Subaru kept sending glares at Laito or according to you, Latte," Saee replied.
"Um...okay."
"Ayato also said to give this to you *hands me a note*."

It read: Don't let anyone touch you. You belong to me and only me. Seriously?! Saee and Yui left to go to their classes after saying goodbye to me. I checked my timetable. Maths. *sigh* I got up and went to my classroom. Everyone looked up when I arrived.

"Miss (L/n), you're late," said the teacher.
"I'm sorry."
"Subaru told me that you were having a terrible headache and had to go to the infirmary but Ayato had a completely different story. He said that you were sleepwalking through school and hit a wall and somehow became unconscious in your sleep." I glared at Ayato. He just smirked in return.
"Subaru's the one telling the truth, sir."
"Very well. You and Ayato get detention at the end of the day."
"What?! Why me?!"
"Don't shout in the classroom. You came late and Ayato told an untruth. Go sit down."

This was so unfair. I sat at my desk and got out my exercise book and started doing the boring maths questions. Ayato flicked a note at me. I unwrapped it.

It said: Tell me the answers to the questions. I wrote 'In your dreams' and flicked it back at him. Subaru passed a note to me. It read: Teacher's gonna find out. Stop sending love notes to each other. I blushed and glared at him.

"(Y/n), you can sort out who you like better after class, not now," the teacher said. I blushed even more. I didn't like Subaru in the way that he was thinking. Did I like Ayato though? When class finished, the same girls from before came up to me.

"So now you like Subaru as well?!"
"N-no, I-"
"Don't speak when we didn't give you permission yet!" I slowly backed away and bumped into Ayato.
"Sorry." He grabbed my hand.
"We're going." That was all he said.
"Ayato-kun! Why don't you spend a little time with us? Who would want to be alone with that freak?" one of the girls asked way too sweetly.
"Not interested." After he said, he pulled me to our next class.
"Thanks."
"I didn't do it for you, you are my blood bag."

For some reason, those words made my heart ache. You are my blood bag. I couldn't believe I was starting to fall for him. Our next class was music.

"Class, sit down. Today, you will be playing a piece of music that represents yourself," instructed the teacher. What represented me? I looked at Yui.
"You could play 'Jar of Hearts'," Yui suggested.
"Thanks for the idea."
"Alright class, who's first?"
"(Y/n) wants to go first," Ayato answered while smirking at me.

What?! No! The teacher looked at me so I slowly walked up to the piano and started to play (Jar of Hearts by Christina Perri).

Everyone clapped. I 'curtsied' and went to the back of the class.

~At detention~

I walked into the classroom. There were only two boys in here, excluding Ayato. They were mean-looking. I sat in a corner near the window. I didn't think Ayato would show up. The teacher arrived and marked the roll.

"As usual, Ayato fails to be here," the teacher muttered to himself.

Detention was an hour long and it was incredibly boring. When it finished, I gladly went to my locker and got my stuff. I was about to go through the front gates when it started to rain.

Great. I didn't want to stay with those boys so I decided to go. A few minutes later, I felt someone following me so I walked faster. I looked behind me and there were those two boys running after me so I ran as well. I hurriedly took off my shoes and continued.

The ground turned to ice. I was hoping the boys would slip and stop following me but it didn't work. I stepped on something sharp. Oww, why?!

I ran and ran until I reached the mansion but slipped and fell. The boys smirked and walked towards me. I moved backwards and went into the mansion. They followed me in here.

"Get away from me!"

But they just kept coming closer. Suddenly, Ayato came and punched them. They looked scared.

"Get out. No one invited you here."

They quickly got on their feet and ran off. Saee saw me and ran down the stairs.

"What happened to you?!" she asked with worry. She took off her jumper and put it around me.

~After a quick shower~

I explained the whole thing to everyone. I had no idea why the brothers even bothered to come.

"They could be after you," Reiji said.
"Why?"
"No, it's nothing," he muttered.
