Chapter 17

(Y/n)'s POV

I woke up from my dreamless night...at least it was peaceful. I had a quick shower and changed into jeans, a short tshirt and a denim jacket. I also put on a beanie and converse shoes. I brushed my hair and walked out but almost bumped into Saee.

"Oh sorry."
"No, it wasn't your fault." I smiled at her. I was about to go somewhere else when Subaru appeared infront of me.
"We have to school," he groaned.
"Whatever, let's go."

I grabbed their hands and ran to the limo. This time, I was squished between Laito and Kanato. Laito gave me his usually 'smile'. Kanato was talking to his Teddy. I rolled my eyes. Reiji glared at me.

"What?"
"Did something happen to your uniform?" he asked.
"No, I couldn't be bothered to change and no one's perfect like you...if you're what perfect means."

Everyone except Reiji smiled. I poked my tongue out at him, he just went back to reading his book. Ayato pulled me onto his lap. I blushed.

"A-Ayato?"
"You're too far away."
"Seriously?...but it's sorta true."
"Sorta?" Saee asked, smirking.
"What about you and Shu? I mean, he hasn't even confessed and you're holding hands." She blushed, causing Yui to giggle.
"Have any love interests, Yui?"
"N-no," she answered shyly. I smiled and looked out the window.

~At school~

I went straight to my first class, which was food tech/home economics. Yay, I loved cooking. We were making crepes. I wondered if we got to choose our partners.

"Alright class, your partners are on the board. I will not be reading them out as I have a sore throat so you'll have to come and see for yourself."

I was the first one to get up and see. I was partnered up with...Yuma. Ayato looked jealous. I texted him...'so jealous'. He replied a second later. 'Tch, whatever'. I went to the bench Yuma was at.

"Sup," he greeted.
"Hey."
"A student is coming around with the instructions. You can start when you have them." Ayato was partnered with Saee. We got our instructions.
"What do you want to do?"
"Nothing...but these strawberries and blueberries aren't fresh," he replied.
"But doesn't the school usually provide fresh products?" He just shrugged and sat there, leaning against the bench.
"Wait here," he exclaimed then teleported to some unknown location.

And it wasn't like I could go anywhere. He came back about 5 minutes later. He had a small basket of strawberries and blueberries.

"Did you grow these?" He nodded. I tasted them.
"They're really good."

I started making the crepes. When I was halfway through, I realised that Yuma was just relaxing.

"A little help please?" He just groaned.
"What?"
"Plate it up." He put everything on the plate but it wasn't appealing enough.
"No, change that...and that...and this."
"Happy now?" I nodded. We shared the leftovers. I put my hand up.
"We're finished."

The teacher came over and tasted our crepes. After a little bite, she ate the whole thing. Our mouths fell open.

"Um, isn't tasting supposed to be only a little piece?"
"Fortunately not, we eat the whole thing."

Fortunately?! I swear the teachers made up silly excuses to eat our food. Yuma was about to 'talk' back to the teacher. I grabbed his arm.

"Just breath." I went over to Saee and Ayato. It was a mess.
"I'm sure it tastes better than it looks." I took a tiny piece and nearly puked.
"Never mind. What did you guys even put in this?"
"Well, I wanted to follow the instructions but Ayato just put random stuff in the mixture," Saee explained.
"More like the opposite," argued Ayato.

The bell rang. I checked my timetable. HPE. I went to the bathroom and changed into my sports uniform. Everyone was already there.

"Alright. Today, you'll be playing basketball." Ayato grinned.
"It'll be two on two. Ayato and (Y/n) versus Saee and Shu," announced the teacher. Shu was still sleeping. Saee woke him up.
"First team to 10 points wins."

They had the ball first. Ayato snatched it off Saee and threw it to me. I was about to shoot but Shu caught it while it was about to go in. Damn you, Shu. I was surprised he was actually playing, maybe it was because Saee was playing.

Ayato tried to take it off Shu but they were both strong. I took the ball but Saee caught it while I was throwing it to Ayato. She threw it to Shu and he shot. Ayato came up at the last second and threw it all the way across the court to me. I got it in the hoop.  (Basically all the games were like that).

~In the middle of class~

"Wanna ditch?" Saee asked. I nodded, Ayato followed us. So did everyone - except Reiji and Ruki - because they were bored. Yui was tired so she wanted to go home.

While we were still walking, I formed a snowball in my hand and threw it at someone. It was Laito. His hat got knocked off and I filled it with snow then dumped it on his head. Everyone laughed. He suddenly licked my neck. Ayato pushed him away.

"She belongs to me." I went to Saee and 'accidentally' pushed her into Shu.

~At the mansion~

I felt like swimming.

(A/N): Sorry that it's shorter than some of my chapters. I still haven't started my homework yet 😦
