Chapter 16

(Y/n)'s POV

Saee opened the door and pushed Ayato away then hugged me. He fell on his butt. I giggled. He just rolled his eyes. Yui came in but she was dragging Shu along.

"What's up with him?"
"He's just too lazy to go by himself so he asked me to drag him here. But he is really heavy even though he isn't fat," Yui explained. I laughed. Then kicked him gently.
"What?!" he asked, annoyed.
"You could've asked Saee to do that, considering that she is your lover and all." They both blushed.
"Let's leave these two lovebirds alone." I dragged Ayato out of the room while Yui followed us.
"So what's been happening while I was 'away'?"
"Nothing much," Yui answered then added, "Although Ayato has been worried sick about you." He blushed bright red.
"I-I was just a bit worried, that's all," he argued while looking away cutely.
"*laughs* Right...so true, so you wouldn't mind if I started dating Laito?" He pinned me against the wall.
"You belong to me and only me." I pushed him away.
"I know, I know. I wouldn't leave you for him." Where was Subaru? I haven't seen him around.
"Bye guys, I'll catch up with you later."

I went to the garden and saw Subaru staring at the sky. I put my hand on his shoulder and when he turned his head around, I poked his cheek. I smiled.

"Got you."
"Whatever." I sat down beside him.
"Did you know that we're related?" He looked shocked.
"Your mother told me, you're my cousin." He smiled.
"I'm glad," he exclaimed. I ruffled his hair. He looked at me, annoyed that I messed his hair up.
"What? Trying to impress some girls, are you?"
"I don't need anyone as long as I have you as my cousin."
"What's that supposed to mean?"
"Nothing." I got up and was about to walk away but he gave me a rose.
"Thanks."

I accidentally pricked my finger. There was a drop of blood. I licked my finger. His eyes glowed. I rolled my eyes and moved my hair out of the way. He was about to sink his fangs into my neck but stopped.

I looked at him, confused. He just walked away. I ran back inside - for no reason - and bumped into Kanato.

"Want one?"

I handed him a lollipop (I have no idea where that came from). He took it and left. Where was Jasper? I walked around the mansion looking for him.

Right when I was about to give up, he came running down the hall and jumped on me. I hugged him.

"Where have you been?"

He just licked my hand. I got up and saw Shu standing there. He was about to leave but I stopped him.

"You can look after him if you want." His eyes widened. He looked happy for a second.
"He isn't a normal wolf, you'll find out why soon."
"Thanks," he muttered.
"You're welcome." I turned around but Jasper stopped me by pulling on my shirt. I knelt down to his height.
"Don't worry, I'll still be with you...just not as much."

I waved then left. What was there to do now? Reiji appeared in front of me and made me jump.

"You're going to school."

That was all he said. I went up to my room and had a quick shower then changed into my uniform. Saee and Yui met me outside my room. We walked to the limo and got on. I sat next to Ayato.

"Is it okay if I braid your hair?" Saee asked.
"Oh, yeah sure." I think I might've fell asleep on Ayato's shoulder while she was doing my hair.

~At school~

When I woke up, I was in class but I was sitting on Ayato's lap. Almost all the girls were glaring at me. I hid my face in his chest. He just smirked. Yui was giggling while Saee was glaring at the girls.

Her eyes said 'if you hurt her, I will not hesitate to hurt you even more'. I moved back to my seat. The teacher came in and stated talking about boring maths stuff. He also said that there was a practice test today.

I didn't mind since I always got A's and B's. I finished the test before everyone else. When everyone was done, the teacher collected our tests. Saee threw a note at me.

How was the test? ~Saee.
It was okay, almost easy.

I threw it back at her. When will this lesson end? I checked my timetable. Two periods of math, great.

~After maths~

Two periods of science. Ugh...Right when I was about to go into class, two girls came up to me.

"Um, are you (Y/n) (L/n)?" one of them asked. I nodded.
"We were wondering if you could tell us how you got Ayato-kun's attention. There are rumours that you're his girlfriend."

My mouth fell open. They were actually being nice to me and this was what it was all about?!

"I actually don't know how I got his attention and since when did you know I was his girlfriend?"
"News spreads like wildfire here. Oh anyway, thanks." They left. I walked into the classroom and bumped into one of the bullies.
"What do you want?"
"We want to know why you stole Ayato away from us."
"I didn't steal him away from you." Gosh, these girls.
"He was no one's to begin with."
"Oh yes he was, he was supposed to be ours." I rolled my eyes.
"Don't roll your eyes at us!"

One of them pushed me. I moved back unintentionally then when I was about to fall, someone caught me.

"Subaru?"
"Cheating on Ayato, are we? Well, then you won't mind if I steal him away from you." They left. *sigh*
"He won't listen to them," Subaru exclaimed.
"I know..."

We went to our classrooms and for some reason, Ayato was in every one of my classes. When he walked in, he was trying to get the girls to let go of his arm. I stifled a laugh.

~After school~

When we arrived back at the mansion, I immediately went to my room and fell asleep.
