Happy Ending

(Y/n)'s POV

I changed into ripped jeans and an off-shoulder tshirt.

"(Y/n)! I heard that Ayato is gonna ask you out on a date!" Saee exclaimed, bursting through the door.
"He is?" She nodded.
"Why?"
"Isn't it obvious? He loves you and he hasn't done anything except confess to you!"
"Anything?"
"Well...maybe a few things but certainly not ask you out on a date...right?"
"Yeah, maybe." Yui came in.
"Hey, Ayato told me to give this to you. He also said that no one else can see it or else he'll kill whoever saw it," she told me.
"More like go through a stage of embarrassment," Saee joked. Yui and I giggled. I opened the letter:

Hey (Y/n),
Meet me outside in exactly 1 minute.
~Ayato

"What?!"

Saee and Yui quickly dragged me to the entrance. We saw Ayato in his casual clothes. I smiled and waved at him. He smiled back. Saee's mouth fell open.

"He smiled?!...maybe Reiji taught him some manners," Saee said.
"Oi! I heard that!" Ayato exclaimed. Saee laughed nervously. We walked up to him. Yui waved at us and went back inside.
"Why are you still here?"
"Oh, to congratulate you two on your engagement," she replied.
"We are not engaged!" Ayato and I shouted at the same time.
"Are we going or not?" Shu asked, clearly annoyed that we taking so long.
"Why are you so annoyed?"
"I'm obviously going on a date with Saee."
"So it's a double date?"
"I didn't plan for it to be like this but he had to come so it clearly turned into a double date. Not my choice," Ayato replied.
"Um...o..kay?" He grabbed my hand and walked off. Shu was still listening to his music while Saee was holding onto his arm.
"Aww, you two look great together."
"*blush* S-shut up!"

I smirked at her reaction. Shu did nothing but still blush slightly. I looked at Ayato and made unexpected eye contact. I quickly looked away.
"Stop staring at me like that."
"Why?"
"It's embarrassing."
"Then maybe I should do it more." I quickly shook my head.
"Where are we going anyway?"
"Somewhere."
"Where's somewhere?"
"You'll see."

~A few minutes later~

"The mall?"
"Yep." I looked around and saw something that I really liked.
"Omg! Lazy eggbutt!" (Sorry if you don't like this/don't know what it is).

I basically dragged Ayato to the mini store. I grabbed a few plushies, keyrings and stationery. The price was...$150?! Oh great. I slowly put them all back but Ayato grabbed all of them and threw 150 bucks on the counter. My mouth fell open.

"Ayato, are you sure?" He kissed me.
"That's worth all that money." I blushed. He just smirked. I looked at Saee and Shu. Shu was buying ice cream for her.
"Want one?" Ayato asked.
"Yes please!" He got (f/f).
"How did you know that was my favourite?"
"I know everything."
"Whatever." I licked the ice cream the same time he did.
"What are you doing?!"
"What do you mean 'what are you doing'? We're sharing, no excuses."

I blushed and bit the ice cream. He bit it too but some got on his nose. I laughed. He put some on my nose.

"You two look like weirdos, what are you even doing?" Saee asked.
"It was her/his idea," Ayato and I replied at the same time. Saee handed me a napkin.
"Thanks." I wiped my nose. Ayato just took Shu's.
"Um guys? Your ice cream fell." Ayato and I looked at the ground.
"Noooo, my ice cream!...but whatever."
"Uh seriously?"
"Yep." We continued walking until someone pushed past me.
"Watch it, creep."
"Sorry." Ayato grabbed the guy's arm.
"Hey, if-"
"No, it's fine." He let go of his arm and glared at him. The guy quickly walked off.
"My phone!" There was a deadly aura surrounding him. Ayato walked up to the guy who was with his - no offence - ugly girlfriend.
"Where is it?!" Ayato asked.
"I don't know what you're talking about." Ayato's gaze was frightening.
"Give it back."
"Hey listen dude, I only stole- I mean borrowed her phone for my girlfriend."
"Well then, your girlfriend's an idiot. I mean look at her, I don't think she even knows what her own name is, give it back...now!"
"Excuse me? Look at your girlfriend, a total weakling." Ayato slapped her.
"Shut up." He snatched my phone off him and came back. He grabbed my hand and walked off. Saee just stared at him wide eyed.
"Don't listen to her," he said.
"She's right, if only I wasn't so weak..." Ayato turned to face me.
"Don't. Listen. To. Her." I gulped, he was mad. Shu handed me a lolly and I gratefully took it. I mumbled a thanks.

~After date~

I was in my room, sketching all my feelings into this drawing. *sigh*

"Hey (Y/n), you okay?" Yui asked.
"I'm fine." She looked at my drawing.
"You're such a good artist, where did you learn how to do that?" she asked.
"Natural talent?"
"That's even cooler." I smiled. Ayato came in.
"I need to talk to you," he said. Yui left us alone.
"Listen (Y/n), I'm sorry. I didn't mean to get mad at you."
"Don't worry, I forgive you." He smiled.
"Come on, everyone's watching a movie." I followed him to the lounge room. There were two empty spots next to Subaru.
"What movie is it?" I asked after I sat down.
"Apparently it's some kind of horror movie," Saee answered.

*gulp* The movie started. I grabbed Ayato's arm. There were lots of jump scares and horrific scenes that made me close my eyes. Ayato wrapped his arm around me.

"Boo!"
"Eek! Subaru, don't scare me like that!"

He just laughed. Yui was hiding behind a giant plushy. I giggled. Throughout the rest of the night, we watched movies. It was kinda like a movie marathon. Eventually I fell asleep.

~The next morning~

I woke up on Ayato's shoulder. Everyone was still asleep. I drew weird things on everyone's faces and laughed. That made everyone wake up.

"What?"
"Nothing." I laughed even more, they looked in the mirror.
"(Y/n)?"
"Y-yes?"
"I'm trying to keep my anger in...nope, can't do it." Everyone chased me around. It was a fun day.
