The Big Birthday

Chapter 16

Sasha's POV

I woke up to a smile on my face. Today's my birthday! I got up with a spring in my step, and woke up Ally, who was still asleep. I picked up my pillow, and started slapping her in the face with it.

"What, what? I'm up!" Ally yelled.

I let out a little chuckle, and asked, "Do you know who's birthday it is today?"

"How could I forget? It's yours, of course!" Ally replied. "Happy Birthday, Sasha." She gave me a hug, and I raced to the bathroom to get ready. I wore my hair up into a ponytail, put on a little bit of make-up, and put on my outfit, that I had neatly laid on top of my suitcase. It was a red sweater, skinny jeans, and my lucky converse.

Ally was wearing black skinny jeans with a long sleeved dark blue knit shirt. She had a simple black beanie that rested on the back of her head, her hair fell down her back in loose curls. To complete her outfit, she was wearing her favorite boots.

I walked into the Gryffindor common room, to see only a few were already up, and George was one of them. I ran over to him and gave him a huge hug.

"Woah! What's this all for?" George exclaimed. I stopped and stepped away from him.

"Do you know what today is?" I asked, a bit concerned.

"Are you really excited about the trip to Hogsmeade?" Today was not only my birthday, but also our trip to Hogsmeade.

I sighed, and said, "Yeah, of course. What else would it be?"

"That's great!" he said. "Because, we are going to have a lot of fun today!" He walked off towards the boy's room. I couldn't believe my boyfriend didn't know it was my birthday! I mean seriously?! I sat in the chair next to the fireplace. Fred walked in and sat at the couch, next to me.

"What's wrong with you?" he asked.

"Oh nothing," I said, straightening my back, "So are you going with anyone to Hogsmeade?"

"Not really, no," he answered. "The only person I have eyes for, is already going with someone." He was referring to Ally, who was going with Cedric. Suddenly, Angelina came over and sat next to Fred.

"Hey Fred! I have the best idea! Why don't you go with Angelina!" I suggested. "That way you won't feel left out when we all go together."

"Um okay," Fred muttered. "Angelina would you-"

"Of course! I'll go get my coat!" Angelina yelled, as she bounded for the girl's room. Ally came and took Angelina's place on the couch.

"Hey, what happened?" she asked.

"Fred's taking Angelina to Hogsmeade with us," I answered, before he could say anything.

"Oh. That's great," she said, trying to hide her disappointment. Angelina and George came back, so we all started towards Hogsmeade, where we would meet Cedric. We were then stopped by Jake and another girl.

"Hey guys, are you all going to Hogsmeade?" he asked.

"Yeah, want to join us?" Ally said.

"Yeah that would be fun, right Jake?" the girl answered, elbowing Jake in the stomach.

"Sure," he gasped.

"I'm Keelie," she said, extending her hand. The boys walked ahead, while the girls were behind.

"So, are you and Jake dating?" I asked, a bit curious.

"Oh no! We're just friends. Anyway, I'm a Hufflepuff and he's a Slytherin," she said.
