Chapter 20
Sasha's POV
"Okay, so this is pretty much the biggest game of the school year, and you have one of the most important jobs out there," I explained, picking up an old helmet, and slipping it onto George's head.
"You know, I don't need to wear this, right?" George said, about to take off the head gear.
"You're a Beater. I'm not really giving you a choice," I answered, holding the helmet onto his head, so he wouldn't take it off. I patted the gear on George's uniform, to make sure the padding was alright.
"I think you're ready," I said, putting my hands on my hips. "Go beat some Bludgers!" I started to push him out of the room.
"Wait! Can I have a good luck kiss before I go?" he asked, turning towards me. He started to lean in, before I pushed him back.
"How about if you win, you'll get a kiss."
"Deal." He put on a big grin, and walked out of the room confidently. That should give him a little boost of energy. I didn't go down right away, because the Quidditch players that would be playing, were to go down to the field early. Plus, I had homework to finish from History of Magic, which was going to be difficult, because I can never pay attention in that class.
After about thirty minutes of writing an essay, I realized I needed to get down to the field for the game. It started in about an hour, but if you went any later, it would be hard to get seats. Especially for this Quidditch game; Gryffindor against Slytherin. I climbed out of the portrait and started walking down the stairs. As I walked down the hallway that led out by the Quidditch field I heard someone starting to follow me. I slowly turned around, to find Malfoy.
"Petrificus Totalus!" he yelled, when I saw him. I pulled out my wand, held it up, and used a defensive charm. The trail of light from the spell disappeared as it hit my defensive charm.
"Body-bind curse, huh?" I asked, waving my wand around. "Very effective, but easy to avoid. What are you doing here, anyways? Didn't you have to go out onto the field early?"
"No," he answered, shaking his head. "Nobody had to go out early." He ran off towards the field. What did he mean nobody had to go out early? Was he trying to psyche me out, or is he telling the truth?
I squeezed through the rows of people, until I heard someone call my name. I turned around to see Ron waving his hands like crazy.
"Have you seen Harry, Fred, George, or Ally?" Hermione asked me, when I got down to them.
"What do you mean? They should be down there. They even left for the field early," I replied, a look of worry starting to spread across Hermione's face.
"Well, they're not down there right now," she said, glancing down at the field. I looked over at the line of the Gryffindor players. She was right. There was no sign of them anywhere.
"C'mon! We have to find them before the game starts! When does it start Hermione?" Ron asked her. She observed the watch on her arm.
"We have a little more than thirty minutes," she answered. "We don't have much more time left."
"Then we have to get a move on," I said, leading them out of the crowd.
Ally's POV
We were all walking down the stairs, when a player from the Slytherin team jumped out and shot a spell at us. We didn't have time to react, so it hit us, and everything went black.
I woke up in a small room, with the boys to my side.
"What happened?" Fred muttered, sitting up.
