Author's Note: 

This is a slow progress into his Mafia life. You won't see all the big guns and fighting until probably Chapter 20-ish because I wanted to build his character in the beginning. 

Note that the middle is when it starts taking a really fast shift into Caleb being the Mafia's Son, therefore if you don't like him in the beginning or how this story progresses, I understand. 

Also if you're a rereader, I recommend you rereading all these chapters because I made significant changes to characters and story line.

I thought I knew better. I thought I was different from everyone in my family, but I was wrong. I proved everyone and her exactly what they expected of me. Looking back a year ago, I wish I knew better. I wish I could be the old Caleb who everyone despised and didn't see as The Mafia's Son.

Being a senior at Kean High had its highs and its lows. Sure, the freshman looked terrified when you glared at them and you walked the halls like you were the king. But that was last year, this year it's my turn to be scared. That's right, I'm a freshman at Chicago University.

Believe it or not, I wanted to get the hell out of Chicago but due to my flaky grades, I ended up remaining here. Getting into Chicago U was no easy task. My dad had to pull some heavy strings and by strings - I mean he forced the dean to accept my admission.

My name is Caleb Newton, and my father owns Newton Network. Newton Network owns 60% of the business in Chicago. My family and I are part of the 1% elite class. The front for Newton Network is that we provide security and fast-tracking data to all our customers; no one knows that the truth to the Newton Nation is due to us secretly doing illegal dealings underground. 

Don't get me wrong, we got money like a lot of it and it shows by our style of living. My dad said it started when he invested into some company and they didn't promise to pay back so he hired some big boys to take care of it and from there, Newton Network just manifested.

I'm 19 and honestly, I don't remember a time when I just thought of my future. Who does? 

But if you ask me, torturing people to get them is not my style. My dad disagrees, which is why he is still debating whether to hand over the assets of the company to me or not. I don't blame him, I wouldn't hand it to myself either. I mean, after all, I'm the dumb brother, all I have are looks and football while my younger brother has the brains.
