PART 18

Nandini , Navya , and Abhimanyu left the
Malhotra Mansion with Manik and Cabir.
Right after they leave the mansion Nyonika
received a call from Shanno Chachi.
Ny. Hello
Ch.Hello ... Bhabiji main shanno Bol rahi
hoon..
Ny. Haan bolo shanno.. Nandini tou just
left from here.
Ch. Ji Ji but Maine aapko yeh batane ke
kiye phone kiya tha ki aaj Nandini ki haldi
aur mehndi hai... Tou hum log chah rahe
thei ki aap log sab bhi hamare yahan aa
jaayiye... Aap sab ka ashirwaad bhi usse
mil jaayega aur saari ladkiyan bhi mehndi
laga lengi ek saath... "
Ny. Woh shanno mujhe dekhna padega ki
yahan par koi Kaam tou Nahi...
Ch. mujhe pata hai shaadi ka ghar hai...
Kaam tou bahut honge... Par sab ek jagah
honge tou acha lagega and sab enjoy bhi
karenge.
Ny. Ok kitne baje haldi ki rasam start
Hogi...
Ch. abhi 1 baj Gaya hai around 5 in the
evening we'll do the haldi rasam and after
that we'll start mehndi...
Ny. Ok... We'll be there..
Ch. thank you bhabiji... Phir hum log
aapka intezaar karenge... Aapke aane ke
baad hi hum rasam start karenge...
And she cuts the call after saying bye to
her. Nyonika informed Mukti an Aliya
about the plan. The girls gets very excited
and even Dadi and Nani were happy to be
the part of the rasam as they loved their
gudiya and want to spend more time with
her. But little did Dadi knows that Manik
went to drop off Nandini.
Manik is driving his BMW while Cabir is
sitting next to him. Nandini is sitting
behind Manik and Abhimanyu behind Cabir
and Navya is sitting in the middle in the
back seat. All the ride Manik notices from
the rare view mirror that Nandini is looking
outside the window and not once she
looked at him from the mirror. She didn't
have a smile on her face either. He tries to
divert her attention by playing music and
putting her favorite songs but she didn't
budge.
'What's wrong with her... Why is she not
looking at me...' Manik thought to
himself.
Seeing his uneasiness Cabir turned at the
back and take a look at Nandini and asked
her.
"Nandini are you ok... Tum Bahut chup
chup ho Kya baat hai..."
"Kuch nahi Cabir..., Woh thoda tired ho
gayi hoon... " she said turning her head a
little towards Cabir and turned back
again.
"Haan tou there's time for the rasam and
all na... So go home and rest...,, aur tou
koi baat nahi hai na.." He asked again.
" ya nothing else..." She said again
confirming. She still didn't look at Manik.
Now he's sure.
'something is bothering her or maybe she
is mad on me but for what...kaise pata
karoon... ' he thought again.
They reached home and all of them
stepped out of the car one by one and
entered the villa. Chachi was there already
instructing work to the servants. When she
saw them she welcomed them with smile.
" Nandini tu aa gayi... Arey Manik beta ,
Cabir Aao na..." Seeing them coming she
greeted them.
" Manik bete yeh tumhara chehra Itna
pheeka pheeka kyun lag raha hai..." She
asked being worried.
Before Manik could reply Cabir jumped in.
"Woh Kya hai na Chachi... Isse subah se
thoda fever hai that's why he didn't came
to pickup Nandini in the morning... And In
fact he just took medicine before we
leave..." Cabir explained everything.
" tou Tum kyun aaye inn logon ko
chodne... Aaraam kar lete ghar mein... Ya
Driver se keh dete ya mujhe Bol dete main
Rishab ko bhej deti..."
She was so worried for him.
" yahan baitho... Nandini Manik ke liye
juice lekar aa zara..." She told Nandini.
And without saying anything Nandini went
into the kitchen. Navya too followed her.
And Abhimanyu excused himself to leave
for his home and promised to come in the
evening
Manik received a call from Nyonika to tell
him that he just took medicine so don't
drive and take some rest in Nandini's
house as they all are coming to Nandini's
house too for haldi. Manik said ok and
cuts the phone.
"Arey Haan main to batana Bhool gayi...
Maine Nyonika Bhabi se abhi abhi baat ki
hai sab ko invite karne ke liye... Woh sab
aa rahe hain haldi ke function ke liye...
Tou Tum bhi ruk jao yahin aaraam kar lo
shaam ko chale jaana..." Chachi informed
him and asked him to stay.
'Wow... God Kya speed hai... Abhi Maine
request ki that how should I talk to her
and you granted me the chance..., you are
great...' Manik is thanking God in his
mind.
"Haan Haan Chachi kyun nahi... Waise
bhi... He just took his medicine so needs
to relax for sometime... And he was telling
me that he had a little headache too..."
Cabir answered before Manik without even
thinking what he was saying.
'Sometimes Cabir says the truth
unintentionally... I do have a headache
and maybe I should take some rest...'
Manik was thinking to himself.
Navya came back with a glass of water for
herself and Cabir. And Nandini brought a
glass of juice for Manik.
"Navya...Nandini...beta... Manik Ko uupar
apna kamre mein le jaao he has a
headache...Woh thoda Aaraam kar lega..."
Chachi told them.
All of them headed towards the stairs. As
Nandini and Navya went ahead Manik
turned and asked Cabir.
"Tujhe kaise pata chala ki I have a
headache... I really need some sleep
mahn..."
"I didn't know ki you have a headache... I
just thought that you need sometime alone
with Nandini... That's why Maine Aise hi
Bol diya..." Cabir got surprised by his
remark.
" kabhi kabhi tu anjaane mein akhalmandi
kar deta hai..." Manik smirked.
"Manik tujhe sach mein headache ho raha
hai... Tou thoda rest karle main ghar jaake
change karke Aata hoon..." Cabir was
concerned for him now.
Manik gave a smile to him. They entered
Nandini's room and saw Navya and
Nandini was waiting for them.
"Nandini tum Manik ka thoda khayaal
rakho... I'll go home and change and main
evening mein sab ke saath aa jaaonga..."
Cabir said..
"Theek hai... Tou Manik main chahta
hoon..." He said before leaving the room.
Manik just smiled. Navya followed Cabir.
"Cabir... Ruko ek minute... " she called
him and he stopped at the top stairs.
"Kya hua itni jaldi mein kyun ho...aur
Jeejaji Ko Kya hua..." She asked..
"Kuch Nahi hua usse... I think Woh subah
se rest Nahi kiya hai na tou he has a
headache... He just wants to rest..." He
explained her.
" Tou aap bhi ruk jaaiye na..." She said
smilingly.
"Actually Nyonika Aunty and all are coming
in the evening for haldi and mehndi
function... So I'll come with them...aur I'll
change also... Theek hai..." He said very
lovingly..
"Ok... Theek hai per jaldi aajaaiyega...
Hum aapka wait karenge..." She blushed
while saying that...
He too smiled back at her and touched her
shoulder for the assurance that he will
come early and he left.
Nandini was standing in the middle of the
room fidgeting with her fingers. Manik
noticed her and quietly took few steps
towards her. Feeling him coming closer
she tries to move away from him.
Manik pulled her to him with a jerk by
holding her elbow. She smashed to his big
broad chest.
"What's wrong with you... Baat kyun nahi
kar rahi ho mujh se... Since we came here
you are ignoring me..." He asked getting
irritated by her silence.
She struggled to pull herself out of his
grip but he tightens his grip more.
She looked into his eyes and tears started
to form in it.
" Nandini Tum kuch bataogi nahi tou main
kaise samjhunga..." Manik's heart melted
seeing her moist eyes.
She slide her hands into his waist and
hugged him. He could hear her sniffing. He
tried to lift her head and wants to take
look into her eyes. But she didn't leave
him as its the secured place for her to be.
"Sweetheart... Kya ho gayaa... Why are
you crying..." He also embraced her in his
arms.
"Main aapse baat Nahi kar rahi hoon... "
she said like an angry little girl.
"Par kyun... Maine Kya kiya hai..." He can
sense that she wants to say some people
so he makes her relaxed by resting his
chin on her head.
"Aapko Kya zaroorath thi yahan aane ki...
To drop us off... You should have taken
rest... Because you need it... Aapko apni
health ki bilkul bhi parwah Nahi hai na...
Aapko Kya farak padta hai ke mujhe kaisa
lagega... "She was blabbering without
taking a pause.
"Main rest kar leta... But tumne suna na
Dadi ne Kya kaha... Ek baar haldi ki rasam
ho jaaye tou hum ek doosre se Nahi mil
sakte... Eh doosre Ko Nahi dekh sakte...
So I want to spend this time with you till
the rasam... " Manik said very innocently.
"But how can you say that mujhe farak
Nahi padta... Mujhe farak padta hai tabhi
tou main jaannna chahta tha..." He added.
A smile crept on Nandini's lips from the
corner in spite of the tears hearing him.
But she didn't show it to him.
"It's a matter of one day... Phir we can see
each other..." Nandini said again without
moving from his embrace as it's so
comforting for her.
"Acha... Is ka matlab mujhe yahan Nahi
aana chahiye tha... Aur tum... It's ok for
you... You'll be fine if you don't see me till
tomorrow..." He bend down to see the
expressions on her face breaking the hug.
She didn't looked up. Her hands stil
holding his kurta from his waist.
"Bolo... If You don't want me to stay
here... I'll leave... You can wait till
tomorrow naa... Even if you don't see me
or meet me... That's fine with you naa...
Ok so I'll leave..." He dropped his hands
from her shoulder..
She grabbed his hands.
"Maine aisa kab kaha..." She suddenly
said looking at him.
"Tum ne kuch bhi Nahi kaha... Kya chahti
ho... Ki main chala jaaon... Tou main
chala jaaunga..." Manik said being a little
serious.
"Nahi aap kahin Nahi jaayenge... You are
not going anywhere... " she held his hands
tight.
" Waise bhi mujhe headache ho raha tha...
I thought I will relax a bit hear... And than
after the rasam and all were done than I'll
leave... But koi Nahi... I'll just leave
now..." He said doing a little acting like
he's gonna leave..
She dragged him to the bed and makes
him sit on it.
"You are not going anywhere I said... Aap
yahan aaraam kariye main curtains band
karke aati hoon..." She went and closed
the curtains of the balcony and came back
to him. He was still sitting on the edge of
the bed.
"Kya hua... Why are you not lying down...
" she asked.
He forwarded his hand to her... She held
it... He slowly makes her sit on the bed
with him. When she sat he lied down
putting his head in her lap. He kept his
hands under his cheek turning on his right
perpendicular to her.
Nandini was not used to this so she felt a
little weird and to be frank the way he laid
on her lap it felt like electricity ran to her
system.
'Hugging and being close was different but
Aiyyappa I didn't expected this... Not this
early... Help me Aiyyappa to understand
all this... He looks so comfortable...'
Nandini thought gazing at him.
Closing his eyes he asked very softly
"Nandini... "
"Hmmm... She also answered very softly.
"Are you still mad at me..." He asked
again.
"No I'm not... I can't be mad with you... I
was only concerned for your health..." She
starts rubbing his head by her palm to
sooth his head.
"Don't worry... I'll take care of myself and
you after tomorrow... That's a promise...
But please till tomorrow don't say
anything and don't get mad...ok " his
voice had a plead in it.
"Promise na you will not ignore your
health..." She asked again.
"Hmmm..." He said in a sleepy tone. And
slowly he drifted into sleep.
She checked him and she can hear small
snores coming from him. She took the
shawl spread on the bed and covered him
without disturbing him. And she leaned her
head on the back with help of the
headboard and she too closed her eyes. In
few minutes sleep took over her too as
they both were tired since last night.
Navya came in the room looking for
Nandini but as soon as she entered a smile
passed through her lips looking at the
cutest scene in this world.
' maata rani inko kisi ki Nazar na
lage...aur inn dono Ko issi tarha hamesha
saath rakhna..." And she came out of the
room slowly closing the door.
After a couple of hours Nandini moved
in her sleep and feeling some thing hard
on her lap and something tight around her
waist she opens her eyes and saw Manik
turned on his left in his sleep and held her
waist with his hands and was in deep
sleep. A hearty smile appeared on her lips
and she sat like that for sometime
watching him.
The way he's sleeping was taking her
breath away.
'Aiyyappa...thank you so much for sending
him in my life... He's so handsome and
good looking... He could've get any girl...
But he chose me... I'm so great-full to
you...' Nandini thought to herself.
She turned and checked the time in her
phone. It was almost after 4:30. She has
to get ready. She didn't want to leave him
or disturb him but she had no choice. She
has to get ready. Otherwise She could
spend her life time watching him like this.
She slowly lifted his head from her lap and
puts a pillow under his head. And opened
his hands from her waist and rested it on
the bed.
She bend down and gave light kiss on his
forehead and stand up from the bed. Her
body became stiff because of sitting in one
position for so long so,she stretched her
hands and bend her waist on her left and
right. Right than she heard a knock on the
door.
She ran to the door to open it fast so,that
Manik's sleep will not be disturbed. It was
Navya.
"Tum jaag gayi..." Navya whispered
peeking from the door.
"Jeejaji nahin jaage... Koi baat Nahi... Yeh
kapde Amms ne diya hai... Tum ready ho
jaao guest aate hi honge... And haan...
Don't take a shower... Tumhe haldi lagane
ke baad shower Lena hoga..." Navya said
very softly. Trying not to wake up him up.
When she left Nandini noticed that the
clothes Amms send is a saree.
'Haww...Aiyyappa how should I wear a
saree in the washroom... Aur yahan...
He's sleeping... What should I do now...
I'll wear the blouse and lehnga in the
washroom and than I'll tie the saree
here... But please Aiyyappa let him sleep
till I wear it... Please...please..' She was
begging Aiyyappa.
She went to the washroom and got freshen
up and wore her blouse and lehnga and
she slowly peeked from the door to check
if Manik is awake or not. She took a sigh
of relief that he was still sleeping.
She came out of the washroom tip toeing
and grab hold of the saree and start tying
it. First she wrapped the last end around
her waist and than after measuring the
pleats she put the pallu on her shoulder
and than she started to flip flap the pleats
with her fingers and hands. She was so
engrossed in tying the saree that she
didn't even noticed that Manik was already
awake and watching her with so much of
love in his eyes. He slowly get down from
the bed and came close to her and slide
his fingers around her waist from the back
to her stomach. Her breath hitched in her
throat with his sudden touch. The saree
pleats dropped from her fingers. He moved
her hair on the side and getting more
closer he rested his chin on her shoulder.
She shivered and adjusted her pallu to
cover her front. He pressed his fingers on
her stomach and she gasped.
"Hello... Tumne mujhe jagaya kyun
Nahi..." He asked huskily.
"Waise Acha hi kiya Nahi jagaya... Warna
... I can't see this...and enjoy this
moment... " he continued.
He has his eyes still closed and and he
gripped her waist with both of his hands
and hugged her not ready to leave her.
"Wo... " she cleared her throat..."Woh...
Aap fresh ho jaaiye naa... Please... " she
hesitantly said.
" uh uh... Aise hi rehne dona... Please..."
Very romantically he nuzzles his nose in
the cook of her neck.
"Guest aane waale hain... I'm not even
ready yet... Please..." She was having
goosebumps with his proximity.
"Ok... I'll go and freshen up... Mere aane
tak agar Tumne saree fix Nahi ki tou... I
won't let you wear it... Samjhi..." He
whispered in her ear and bit it before
leaving..
Her heartbeat literally stopped for few
seconds and his words echoed in her ears.
She didn't believe what she heard.
'Oh Aiyyappa... Help me please... Yeh jo
kehte hain Woh karte bhi hai.' She was
panicking.
And she started to tie her saree very fast
before he comes out. She tied her hair in a
bun because as the people will apply haldi
on her and her hair is so long it can be
ruined.
She puts only kohl in her eyes... And
that's it she was done.
The washroom door opened and he came
out with a fresh and cheerful face. He
smiled as soon as he saw her.
"That was quick... Itni jaldi pehen bhi
lee..." He came close to her.
She was wearing an off white color saree
with golden boarder and white and golden
blouse. She didn't wear any ornaments as
Chachi said that she has to wear the
jewelry made out of flowers.
