Chapter 4
I looked straight up at the inquisitive and innocent face of Kirlia as she saw me crying. Immediately, I extended my arms and began crying even harder as the little bundle of joy leapt into my open arms. Overcome with happiness, I held Kirlia close and she wrapped her small and slender arms around my neck.
I know, I was a bit too emotional at that time, but I was alone and faced a near death experience. There was little I could do except be emotional after a small Pokemon saved me from death.
After embracing for several minutes, I picked her up and carried her into my apartment while she peered around and smiled at me..
I set her down on the floor as I closed the door and took off my jacket. "This is my apartment, Kirlia. I hope you like it."
Kirlia looked around and then back at me and replied "Kirli-Kirlia!"
I smiled at the little pokemon and then checked the clock. 9:30 PM. Dang I was out for a while. After looking at the time, I heard my stomach growl and saw that Kirlia looked a little hungry as well.
"Hmm... What would you like to eat, Kirlia?" I said opening the fridge for her to look into.
She stuck her head in the fridge and peered around until she saw a box of strawberries. She then reached out and handed them to me with a smile.
"Ok then, strawberries it is!" I said to Kirlia cheerfully.
I warmed up some pizza as I washed off some strawberries and put them into a little bowl for her. As we both ate we didn't really say much except for an occasional 'Mmm' from Kirlia.
As she finished her bowl of strawberries, she let out the cutest little yawn that you ever saw and looked at me with some partially sleepy eyes. Smiling, I stood up and gestured Kirlia to follow me into my bedroom where I set here on the side of my bed as I laid down next to her. As I gave her a small kiss on the head, she laid her head down on the pillow and fell asleep almost instantly. Watching the cutest little creature in the world sleep was the image that I fell asleep with in my head.

Yeah, so this one ended up not ending in a cliffhanger. Oh well. There's always next chapter.
