The Confrontation Part 3

Chapter 20

There was a distant rumbling a ways away from the quiet battlefront. From the shadows, entire legions of trainers dressed in black ran towards the Lab led by a white figure.

"Looks like you could use some help," Kaori said with a smile.

"Why did you come?" Ash asked.

"Well, after you showed up at our place, we thought that you were charging somewhat blindly into this," Kaori said. "Plus we were bored back at headquarters."

"I thought I'd never see the day Ash and Team Rocket team up," Palm said. "I'm tearing up a little."

"Alright, Team Rocket. Let's blast this fast-talking fool away."

"TEAM ROCKET BLASTS OFF AT THE SPEED OF LIGHT! SURRENDER NOW OR PREPARE TO FIGHT!" The mass of grunts yelled out.

"Very well, attack,"

The battle raged on for a much longer time as the Mewtwo were already weakened and they faced a much larger barrage of attacks. However, the masses of Pokemon were easily mowed through by the Mewtwo as the sun began to set and the moon was clearly visible. At that moment, Kaori sent out her Umbreon and tasked her with using one of the most amazing moves I have ever witnessed. Umbreon made the moon shine very bright like it does when an Umbreon uses Moonlight. But, all of the Pokemon that have fallen were resurrected and continued to whittle away at the Mewtwo.

The battle seemed to end quickly once again as Umbreon became overwhelmed and passed out. As the last Poochyena was extinguished, a bright light came from the moon once again right before the battlefield was drowned in blinding light. As the light cleared up two distinct figures could be seen. Cresselia and Mewtwo arrived.

With several powerful Psychic attacks, the elemental Mewtwo were wiped out and Palm was rendered defenseless.

"How is this possible?" Palm said in disbelief. "Mewtwo was gone. Never to be seen again."

"I returned since I didn't seem to make my message clear the first time," Mewtwo said. "LEAVE MEW ALONE!"

With that, Mewtwo blasted Palm far away to an unknown location.

Mew was rescued and was taken back home with Mewtwo into deep space where they could observe the world in private.

The world of Pokemon was saved from the wrath of an insane scientist and all was right in the world.

... For now.
