Luke's perspective

"Alright man, thanks a lot," I sigh onto my phone talking with my manager. "Hey, thank you, anyway, I'll take over from here."

I hang up and mentally scream. I lay back onto my bed, with my hands behind my head as I stare up at the ceiling.

Adrianna and I barley spoke today, but she did arrive back at her home which I was glad. The texting was occasional and very slow replies, not just from one of us but both. I can't really complain though; she's probably exhausted, as am I. And we just started becoming friendly again, so I guess it's alright how things are now.

I really have nothing to do right now. A couple interviews and album promo start in the next few weeks.

-

I didn't do anything for the remainder of the night knowing I'd pass out at any given moment, so I watched a horror film and texted Michael for the majority of the movie. "Scary" films on Netflix were bloody awful, and not even close to scary.

I came across the film White Chicks, which had me laughing until I remembered the time Adrianna and I watched this one night.

God, I missed her.

Before I knew it I was on my phone tapping away and hitting the call button next to Adrianna's contact.

"Hello?" I hear her sweet voice from the other end of the line.

"Hey, Adrianna? You have a minute?" I bit my lip waiting anxiously as I heard small conversations in the background, she must be working. I forgot about time zones.

"Uhh- hold on one second, Luke,"

"Oh is that Luke? Tell him I said hello!" I heard someone scream in the background, her mother. "My mum says hello," she giggles and I can feel her grinning. "Tell her I said hello as well,"

"Alright Hemmings. What brings you to call?" She giggles and her voice brings me to a smile.

"I was wondering when the next time you had off, I have been talking with my manager about album promo in Los Angeles..."

Adrianna's perspective

I can't believe Luke wants to come spend time with me! Is that good? I just got off the phone with him, hearing the excitement in his voice made me smile.

"So are you two back together?" My mother asks me and I can't help me roll my eyes.

"No, mum- we're just friends. Like everyone else. Oh and I saw Gianni the other day.. He's coming to visit next month."

"Oh that's great sweetheart. I miss your bother." She says closing her laptop and standing up. "You can go now Adrianna- done for the day. I'll be going home and making dinner for us feel free to do whatever you want. I know Cara wanted to see you."

"Yeah. I was going to hangout with her." I say strolling over tithe door grinning. "Okay have fun- don't forget to call Shannon for your next appointment." I nod and zoom out the door to my car to drive to my best friends house.

"Cara open your door." I say as soon as I hear the receiver connect. "Adrianna? You're here?!"

"Oh get out of bed we are going penny boarding." I smile to myself and moments later I see from the glass door a petite brunette I've come to know as my best friend.
