The rest of the boys had finished preforming just as Luke walked on the bus. He didn't bother to eat, or do anything else productive. Instead, Luke laid on his bed and watched the wall in front of him. Luke stared at it, as if it was so interesting. He had nothing on particular on his mind.
And that somehow was the problem.
Luke had always been the guy who would make everyone busy even when there was no work. He always had an idea that was based off nothing. Luke didn't know what to think at the moment. Whether it was because of Lauren or not, he just wanted to close his eyes and be in the next day.
You made her cry, his mind screeched at him. As much as he tried to shake off the voices, he couldn't. Luke wanted to scream back at the voices, but he knew nothing significant would come from it. He tried listening to music, watching Netflix, even Law & Order couldn't remove the voices from his mind.
He heard his bandmates come in. He didn't mind them making the bus louder than a circus. But it seemed to be something important was happening.
"Listen, you should really calm down.." Luke heard Calum say to someone over the phone. "No, no. I bet she's fine."
He sighed, "No, I don't think Luke is here."
"Yeah, sure I'll check his," Calum opened the curtain sheet that covered the bunk. He face palmed himself and mumbled an "of course."
"No, no he's not here." He lied and narrowed his eyes at this friend. "Just, just go to sleep and I'm sure she'll be there in the morning."
Calum grinned, "Thanks, night." He said then tapped the 'end' button on the call.
"Where are the other boys?" Luke got up from his bunk and faced Calum. "And who was that?"
"It's, uh, -wait you hung out with the Fifth Harmony girl today right?.." The brunette asked.
"Which one? I went to their bus," Luke admitted, "and yeah.."
"Which one do you think?" Calum snapped. The reason for his behavior was because he was not only tired, but stressed. The new album, which had just started recording, and the next tour were on his mind. They barely finished five songs, and that was what hit Calum. He was always the one to spit out song ideas and lyrics, but he couldn't even write down a lyric before doubting it a million times.
"Lauren, I'm guessing you mean.." Luke shifted awkwardly. He didn't forget about the meeting and he wasn't exactly sure if he could call it a 'date'. "Yeah, why?.."
"Okay, but don't freak out.." Calum warns. He didn't want another person yelling profanities at him. "She left the tour bus without telling anyone where she was going."
"Camila called me and she was worried because, well she didn't really tell me why she was really worried and shit. Something about Lauren not talking all day or something like that.." Calum rambled on.
The blonde's eyebrows arched. "Wait, wait, wait. So, is she like missing?"
"You can't name someone missing if they haven't been gone for more than twenty four hours." Calum scratched the back of his head. "That's when you go to the police."
"Since when did you get so smart, dropout?" Luke crossed his arms over his chest.
"Since Camila yelled all those facts in my ear." Calum remarked with a chuckle.
But, Luke couldn't help but feel guilty. Could bringing her old friend back into memory be so bad? Luke blamed himself. He couldn't help but feel nervous. This is because of you, the voice in his head spat at him. Piece of crap.
Calum noticed the sudden change of emotion in Luke's mind. He shook his head. "You've been on only one date and you're already whipped. That has to be a new record."
Luke smiled a bit. "Shut up."
"Luke and Lauren." Calum turned around, trying to make Luke happy in the slightest bit, he asks, "What could be a ship name for that?.."
Luke threw his penguin plushie at his cocky friend. "Don't."
Calum turned back to look at the fellow Aussie. "Don't worry about her, I bet she'll be fine."

Publicity // Luke Hemmings & Lauren Jauregui
Fanfiction"We'll do it." Those three words triggered the start of this entire adventure. It's amazing how those three words meant so much to this. Why Luke agreed? Beats me. Did I take anyone's advice? No one gave me any.
