As you could probably guess, looked for Lauren.

And found her.

Yes, I knew for sure she be just fine. To me, she didn't seem like the kind of girl to run away from everything without a trace. Even though logic told me she didn't need me right now, but my self-conscious had forced me to do it.

But, it's not anything that I'd regret.

I knew Lauren was probably in a dark place while out there and I knew for sure that everyone thinks that they're capable of being their 'help'. This was a common mistake I've seen through people. If you spend more time alone, your mind has more time to think. Bad or good thoughts, it's a time-waster.

And yes, I had only met Lauren this morning.

I'm just going to use a straight-up High School Musical reference.  "Do you remember in kindergarten, how you'd meet a kid and know nothing about them, then ten seconds later you'd be playing like you were best friends because you didn't have to be anything but yourself?"

Well, that's how I felt when I had met her.

Damn, it's pretty bad that I just related Lauren and I to Troy and Gabriella, isn't it.. But, look how they ended up..? I mean, I'd love to have a relationship like the two of them.

"You okay there?.." Lauren waved her hand over my vision. "Earth to Luke? Hello?"

My lips curved into a smile as I pushed her hands away, hearing her blissful laugh echo across the empty street. We continued to walk around for a few minutes, we stopped in our tracks, hearing the much hated sound of the exclaims from paparazzi and sighting the the blinding lights that they shot from the cameras.

"Lauren!" One cried out. "Are you two dating?"

Lauren covered the lights from her vision. She pulled us away from the few photographers that continued to shoot from their flashing cameras. Lauren cleared her throat, a smirk visible on her face.

"Yes, I am dating him. Please leave us alone." Lauren snarled at the four. "Not to sound rude but-"

Another photographer clarified, "Luke! Sir, is this true?"

My heart beat sped up as their cameras seemed to flash brighter and their yelps came louder. I ran a hand through my blonde hair and nodded.

"Yeah and as she said, leave us alone."
