Four
We were currently sitting on my bed; working. Books and paper scattered everywhere. I was sitting with my back leaned against the headboard and my notebook on my lap. Raven was sitting, Indian style at the other end of the bed. Her brows knitted together with a small crease between them as she copied something from some papers.
We spent the next hours like that. We didn't talk throughout the whole thing except for something involved with our work. We worked in silence and I had to admit, it was a comfortable silence.
Her phone beeped and grabbed it from her bag from the floor next to the bed. She sighed lightly and placed her phone back in her bag.
She gathered her stuff and placed in her bag before standing up.
"I have to go. I got to get to work." She said; fixing her blouse. I stood up as a strand of hair fell in front of her face.
I reached out and brushed the strand of hair behind her ear almost instantly. She tensed up by the action, obviously surprised by my action as much as I was. She looked up at me and I looked at her. Before she could notice my surprised expression, I quickly covered it up; giving her a smirk.
"Let me drive you to the diner." I said, stuffing my hands in my pockets. She shook her head and swung her bag on her shoulder.
"No, thank you." She declined. She stepped back and headed towards the door. I followed her downstairs and she hurried to the door.
"I'll see you tomorrow." She said as she opened the front door.
"Come on, let me send you to wherever you need to go." I insisted, ready to grab my keys.
"Trevor, drop it. I already let you drive me here. I don't need to trouble you even more." She said as she walked down the steps of the porch. This time I let her go.
"Fine, are you familiar with this area?" I asked, not wanting her to get wrong.
She nodded and said. "I pass by here for my morning run."
Wow, I didn't know she was a fitness kind of girl but then again, I don't know a thing about her. That made her even more interesting. She has things walls around her that was tall and thick that made sure nothing could bring it down. My thinking was interrupted by Raven's voice.
"I'll see you tomorrow, Trevor."
With that, she walked down the path and then disappeared down the road. She didn't even glance back at me or even looked around.
Her dull eyes made me think that something had happened to her that made the sparkle in her eyes flow away, it made her guarded and I was determined to bring that guard down.

We spent the next few days working on our project. I tried to small talk with her or even get to know her but whenever I asked a question, she just replied me with a one word answer.
She had me thinking too much of how to make her open up to me and I was not giving up just yet.
I was currently with the boys in Elijah's basement, playing video games and such. We heard there might be a party tonight and we're just hanging out, waiting for a confirmation about the party.
I was so caught up thinking about Raven, that I didn't hear Alex calling me.
"Huh?" I looked at him which by now, all three of them had looked at me. The game was paused and the only sound that could be heard was the sound of chips Marcus was chewing.
