Fifteen
I woke up to the sun shining on my face. I groaned at the brightness. Am I outside?
I forced my eyes open and the sun was pouring in through the windows of Raven's apartment. I closed it back since it was too bright.
Something was tinkling my chin and I forced my eyes again and looked down.
Raven was mold against me as her head was on my chest and our legs were tangled together.
My right arm was around her waist and the other hand was rested on her arm. We must have fallen asleep on the couch while watching the movie last night. The laptop was still sitting on the coffee table with the screen now black.
I shifted a bit so that I could see her face but she shifted too and buried her face in my neck and wrapped her arm around my waist.
I chuckled slightly at the sight of her clutching on me like a koala but that made her wake up. She opened her eyes and blink rapidly as the sun blinded her.
Once she realized our position she tried to get up. "Oh god, I'm so sorry." she rambled, still trying to stand up but I tighten my hold on her waist that made her lay back down.
"No, stay for a while. It's nice." I murmured and wrapped my other arm around her.
"Trevor, I have to get ready for work." She mumbled into my chest but didn't attempt to move instead she relaxed.
It felt right. Having her in my arms, it felt right and I wanted so bad to ask her out but I know I got to wait first and know a little bit more about her.
We lay there for a few more minutes before Raven's phone started buzzing. I heard her sigh and got up. Her hair was in a mess but somehow it looked attractive on her.
She reached over to a table next to the sofa which was behind my head and answered it.
"Hello?"
I got up as well and yawned for a few seconds as Raven talked on the phone.
"Okay, Aunt Clara. Do you mind if I stop by for breakfast?" She said. Who was she talking to? Who's Aunt Clara?
"Okay, see you in a bit." She bid farewell and placed the phone back on the table. She pulled her hair back and tied it up in a ponytail.
"Want to go to breakfast at the diner?" She asked. "I'm not working today so, maybe later we could hang out at the gym."
At the mention of breakfast, my stomach growls like an animal and Raven heard it to as she let out a small laugh.
"I'll take that as a yes." She got up of the sofa and stretched.
"I'll find you some clothes so you could shower." She stated and disappeared down the hallway. It was nice waking up like this. I don't think I ever want to go back home but I know I had to sooner or later.
Raven came back later with some clothes in her hands and also a towel.
"Here." She passed it to me. "I think it'll fit you."
"Thanks." I muttered. I looked through the stack and noticed it was boy's clothes. Where did she get boy's clothes? Before I could ask her, she was walking away; saying that she was going to shower first.
I sat back down on the sofa and dug out my phone from my pocket. I had 3 missed calls from my mother and 1 from my father.
I texted my mother and told her that I was okay and not to worry about me. I would probably go back home tonight but we'll see how it goes.
