Adoption Day

Sebastian begged me to go. We'd been talking about adopting a dog together for a while, and he'd heard about the local animal clinic's annual "Adoption Day." We had been anticipating the day for weeks, and it was finally upon us.
"Ready to find our new best friend?" Sebastian asked excitedly.
"If you keep acting like an overactive puppy, I might decide we already have a dog," I teased back, smiling.

At the clinic -
"Ooh, (Y/N), look how cute this one is! The floppy ears... Oh, but that one has spots!" Sebastian rambled happily, eyes filled with childlike wonder. I meandered around, looking more closely to find a perfect fit for us, while laughing at Sebastian's overwhelming cuteness.
"Oh, (Y/N), I think I've found her... She's beautiful... Look," Sebastian pointed to a gorgeous brown Collie with lighter brown and white markings on her muzzle, ears, and hind legs.
"Young female, needs a quieter home, no children or other dogs. Loves to play outside and cuddle at night. Has all vaccines," I read her information card aloud. "Well, Sebastian, I think we found our girl," I slid my hand into his and let the dog sniff my hand through the cage. She licked my hand and wagged her tail happily. We got all of the papers signed and everything was in order.
    "Well, hello, Beautiful," I cooed as Sebastian lifted her gently out of the cage and put her in my arms. She licked my chin and I giggled. "Oh no, I'm turning into you," I joked and Sebastian smiled playfully.
    "Let's take you to your new home, little one," he said softly.
    "You know, now I have two adorable puppies to play with."
