A/N:
The drawing is what I imagine Storybrooke Chessur to look like, drawn by yours truly. Sorry for the crappy quality, the lighting is terrible in my house. Also, over 500 reads! AMAZING! Thanks so much to everyone, especially thrynthegreat and marvels_agents100, without them, I would still be reading instead of writing. Now, back to the regularly scheduled program :P

I remember everything. Jefferson taking me in as a kitten, growing up alongside Grace, learning to control my evaporating skills, and the curse of being trapped in a world without magic where no one remembers the truth. I've thought a lot about why I remember, and I've decided that because I was traveling between realms when the curse was enacted, I was only partially affected. My evaporating skills allow me to pass through realms as steam moves through cloth. I was only partially solid, so the curse went through me just enough to send me here, but not enough to keep my memories from me. Damn. And now, being stuck in a land without magic, both Jefferson and I are trapped, unable to leave through the magical means we had been blessed with.
"Kitty, you listening?" David asks, looking annoyed.
"Yeah, sorry, go on," I reply. David sighs and continues his story.
"So, everyone is saying that Regina is adopting a baby! Isn't that crazy? Can you imagine her raising a child?" He rambled.
"Wait, wait, wait, what?! From where? And why?" You exclaim. What is she up to now? I think, uneasy.
"I know, Catherine thinks she's nuts. But, if that will make her happy, who are we to judge her, I guess." David finished. "Yeah. It would be nice to have a happy Regina for once," I agree. "Oh, I'm late for tea with Jefferson before my night shift," I realize. "I have to go, if you hear anything else, call me."
*time skip brought to you by Urban Camouflage, for the mainstream loser in you.*
Jefferson and I sit in silence, both brooding over a cup of tea. Jefferson opens his mouth to speak, but then thinks better of it and closes his mouth again. Suddenly, I burst into tears.
"Jefferson, we've been here for two days, TWO DAYS, and who knows how long we'll be trapped here! I knew some of the people in this damned town, and now I know just who Regina made them! When you disappeared, I thought I'd never see you again, but this is almost worse. And Grace..." I sob. Jefferson hurries around the table and pulls me close to his chest as we sink to the floor.
"I know, Chess, I know. I miss her too. I miss her so much," his voice catches, and the two of us sit on the ground together, crying, for what seems like hours. Finally, I pull away from him, remembering something.
"A child... Regina's adopting a baby boy," I whisper, and Jefferson's eyes widen as I'm sure mine did.
"She can have a child but I CANT HAVE MINE?!?!?!" Jefferson starts to yell, growing more angry by the second.
"Wait, I think I know of a way to get help. Let me call Whale and get off work. No one gets really hurt in Storybrooke anyway. I'll be back in a few minutes," I reassure Jefferson. Gipetto, I hope your son is still around this realm somewhere... I beg to no one in particular. Now, where was that phone book?
