"So. Full. Seriously, Mom, I physically can't eat any more. Yes, Thanksgiving dinner is amazing, yes you made a ton of food and some people didn't show up, but I can take leftovers with me. Leftovers are the best, and I can think of you when eating them," you refuse when you mother begs you to eat more.
"You're looking rather skinny, Dear. Just eat a little more," she complains but leaves it at that.
"I'm not skinny, I'm fit. I've been running a lot. I was tired of having low energy," you explain. Mom just nods, waves her hand and starts putting away leftovers. *buzz* *buzz* your phone vibrates. Unknown caller? You wonder, and answer it while walking outside away from your noisy family.
"Hey, (Y/N), it's Seb, I was, um, wondering what time I should pick you up tomorrow for your victory coffee?" You hear Sebastian stammer from the other end of the line.
"Oh, hey Sebastian, I'm not entirely sure, to be honest. How does 9:30am sound? Oh, what time is your train? Mine is at 11am, so maybe we could have coffee there while waiting for the train?" You start planning absentmindedly while picturing his piercing eyes smiling into your own (E/C) eyes.
"It seems we are going to be train buddies again, (Y/L/N)," Sebastian laughs. You imagine his eyes crinkling up and his smile widening with that laughter. Without realizing, you sigh, and Sebastian stops laughing for a moment. "You dislike me that much, huh?" He says, his voice low and sounding a little hurt.
"No, I mean, that was not a bad sigh. I mean... Ugh. Sebastian, I do like you. A lot. And I would love to be your train buddy again. And of course I knew who you were. I didn't want you to think I was some crazy fangirl who just wanted to meet you. I wanted you to know me for who I am, not only as a fangirl. I'm sorry, I-"
"Please, (Y/N), I would never have thought that. I think you're really amazing, funny, beautiful, and clever. I can't wait to have coffee with you or spend the train ride getting to know you. And possibly getting my ass kicked AGAIN by the most skilled go fish player I have ever met. Now, 9:30am sounds great. If we're both going to the station, do you just want to meet there? Oh, and Chris is yelling at me to say hello for him. *to Chris* Tell her yourself, Evans!" You can't help smiling at their antics. How did I get so lucky?
"Hi, (Y/N)! I'm gonna be on the train with you guys to make sure you two don't get into any trouble! But I'll leave you to your coffee date OOOH, hahaha! Sebastian is trying to grab the phone now," Chris booms through the receiver and you both laugh so loud that your cousin opens the door and asks you to keep it down, they're trying to watch the game.
"Hello, Chris, I'm glad you're doing well, I will see you two clowns tomorrow. Tell Sebastian goodnight for me," you thank Chris and hang up, smiling and thinking about what Sebastian had said. He thinks I'm beautiful, you grin.
*time skip brought to you by Chris and Seb ballroom dancing to Cher*
"A tea for me, please," you order while Sebastian stands next to you, his hand on your shoulder.
"What, no coffee? I thought this was a coffee date," Sebastian protests teasingly.
"I don't drink caffeine, silly, it isn't good for you," you reply, poking him playfully in the stomach. You get your drinks and sit outside the cafe, watching all of the people swarm past, trying to catch their train. After sitting and chatting for a while, Chris appears through the crowd and smiles at the two cuties staring at each other with curiosity and amusement.
"Train's coming in fifteen minutes, we'd better find our platform," Chris comments, humored by Sebastian's annoyed glance.
"Let's go, Grumpy Cat," you joke, and Sebastian's glare moves to you. Laughing, you pull him up and you all walk to the platform together, you never letting go of Sebastian's hand. Sebastian looks down at your intertwined fingers and smiles to himself. How did I get so lucky? He asks himself. You look up at his face and smile. I'm gonna kick his butt in cards, you grin. Chris sees the two of you smiling and holding hands and thinking. I'd better like her, because he's not letting her go, he jokes to himself.
"This is going to be fun," the three of you blurt out in unison, and all the way to the platform people stared at the three weirdos laughing their heads off.
