"Steve, come on, you promised we would go dancing!" She complained. I had flaked on her the past few nights, and I felt terrible.
"Alright, let's go. We can go to the club down the street with the Jazz music," I smiled, and she grinned and pulled me out the door. As we were walking to the club, I could smell her perfume, and her bright eyes glittered under the street lamps.
In the club, I could see soldiers sitting at the bar, seducing women and laughing cacophonously. On the dance floor, couples were swinging to the fast tempo. (Y/N) pulled me onto the floor and we got right into the beat. The song ended, and suddenly the band was playing a slow song. I recognized it as "I'll Be Seeing You". As the song played and we danced slowly together, I gazed into her eyes and I knew I wanted things to be like this forever.

I was on my morning jog, listening to an album Clint had recommended to me. His taste in music was questionable at best, and I had to pause from running to change the soundtrack. Unable to pick something, I just put my iPod on shuffle and kept running. Just as I was jogging up to the doors of Stark Tower, I heard a familiar tune. I stopped, hand on the door, and stared down at the screen of my iPod.
"I'll be seeing you in all the old familiar places// that this heart of mine embraces,
All day and through..."
People passed by in and out of the building, but I still just stood there listening with tears streaming down my face.
"I'll be seeing you in every lovely summers day// in everything that's light and gay,
I'll always think of you that way..."
I thought of that night in the jazz club so many years ago. I could still see (Y/N)'s face, her smile, her playful eyes. I could hear her laugh echoing through time to reach my ears now. I could almost feel her in my arms as we danced again for the last time.
"I'll find you in the morning sun and when the night is new// I'll be looking at the moon, but I'll be seeing you."
The words had more meaning now than I could have ever imagined that night. So, I looked around, searching for her in everything around me. She was nowhere. I sighed and turned back to the door. I was still picturing her face, her movements warped by the glass, but no voice was playing in my head. I finally opened the door, and gasped. I hadn't been picturing her face, she was here. I was frozen in shock, and I was barely able to squeak out, "(Y/N)?" She looked confused, but then smiled.
"No, I'm Taylor. I'm (Y/N)'s granddaughter," she replied. "I came to work here in the hopes of meeting my estranged grandfather, Steve Rogers."
"I believe you just did," I smiled.
