You Never Asked

** FOR MUSICIANS! :) **

You've practically been playing your {instrument} forever. But you never imagined you'd be discovered. Especially by your boyfriend, Niall.

You were playing in your bedroom, home alone. But what you didn't know was that Niall was standing in your doorway, trying to surprise you, when he heard it.

"Whoa!"

You immediately stop and turn around, and your eyes widen. "Niall, hi, what are you doing here?"

You try to cover up your {instrument} by sort of sitting on it, but Niall just laughs. "(Y/n), I can still see it, ya know."

You smile sheepishly. "It's nothing."

He walks over to you, and picks up the {instrument}. "I had no idea you played!"

"Yeah... I have since I was really little."

"Well, you're really good! Why didn't you tell me you could play?"

"Um.. You never asked..."

Niall laughs and kisses your cheek. "We should record a song with you. You could play your {instrument}!"

You scratch the back of your head. "Um, maybe.."

He sets down the {instrument} on your bed, and pulls you towards him. "You don't have to do anything you don't want to, (y/n). You're obviously shy about playing. It's okay."

You smile up at his beautiful face. "Thanks, Niall."
