We hold hands as we stroll down the aisles of snacks.

"Definitely potato chips, and this dip stuff," Niall says, pulling the items from the shelves and setting them in the basket on my opposite arm.

"Cheetohs?" I smile, "and popcorn?"

He licks his lips. "Yes!"

"Cheesy, extra cheesy, or triple cheese?"

"Geez, um.. Extra cheesy."

I nod and grab the bag. "Are we done?"

"Yup, I just have to go to the back to look for something. But it may take awhile, so you can check out, and I'll meet you in the car."

"Okay."

Niall smiles, seeming nervous as he leans down to kiss me.

"Call me if you need help," I say hesitantly, waving as I walk towards the cash registers.

Later that night, Niall was pacing our bedroom when I came upstairs to change into my pajamas.

"Niall? Are you okay?"

"Um, yeah. I just.. uh.."

I wriggle out of my jeans and pull my sweatshirt down to cover my undies. As I put my sweatpants on, Niall just stares at me.

I giggle. "Do you mind?"

"Sorry," he mumbles, "I just wanted.. I wanted to call your.. your dad. And I need his cell phone number."

I pull off my sweatshirt, trading it with a tshirt. "Um, okay. My phone is in my jean pocket, so you can look for it."

I toss him my jeans and he hands them back when he finds the number.

"Okay. Thanks."

I find a brush and sit on the bed with Niall, handing it to him. "Will you brush for me?"

He carefully moves the brush down my {y/c/h} hair.

"What do you need it for?" I ask, pulling Niall's legs out to wrap around me.

"Need what?"

"The phone number." I turn around when he doesn't answer. "Niall. What's with you? You've been acting weird since we've gotten home."

"It's nothing, really."

I nod, getting comfortable again, but still worry.

The next afternoon, Niall calls me while he's at the studio and tells me to meet him at a fancy restaurant downtown. "Wear something nice," he adds.

I dress up in a mid-length dress and wedged heels, leaving my hair down, curled, and some makeup.

"You look beautiful," he comments, greeting me with a kiss as we sit down at the table.

"Thank you," I smile.

After we finished our meals, he suddenly kneels down next to the table.

I stand up, and knell next to him. "Did you lose something?" I ask.

He laughs, pulling me up, but still kneeling as he holds my hands. I'm on my feet.

"(Y/n), I called your dad for permission. And he said yes, that I could ask you to marry me."

My eyes widen, as I realize I was completely stupid to not put the pieces together. The ring shopping while you were in the car, the phone number, the fancy restaurant, his adorable smile. He grins as he pulls a box from his pocket. "(Y/n), you're the love of my life. Will you do me the honor, and marry me?"

Niall pops open the small box, and I nod. I'm speechless as the ring slides down my finger. I pull him up and into a hug, and he squeezes me.

"You can say something now," he chuckles.

"I love you, I love you I love you I love you. I love you. I can't believe it." I pull away and admire the sparkling gem on my finger.

"I can't see myself with anybody but you," Niall grins. "It's crazy, but true," he kisses my cheek. "I love you."
