You and Niall have been together a long time, your 5-year anniversary just around the corner. You have been wondering the two of you would take your relationship a step further: marriage.
But no matter how many times you mention or talk about it, he never gets the hint.
Suddenly, at dinner one night, you can't take it anymore.
"Niall, don't you want to get married?" you blurt.
His beautiful eyes meet yours. He grins. "Is that a proposal?"
You cross your arms over your chest and raise an eyebrow.
Niall laughs. "I'm sorry, I'm sorry. Of course I want to get married!"
You nod your head, expecting him to go on.
He looks up. "Why, do you have any suggestions?"
You slap his arm. "Niall! I meant, don't you want to get married to ME? Because..."
His eyebrows scrunch together.
You continue, "because we've been together 5 years.. and, um, are we getting anywhere? I mean-"
Your boyfriend stands up and grabs your face, palms cupping your cheeks. Your hands lightly rest on his arms, wondering what he is doing.
"Niall? Please, talk to me about this..."
"I'm marrying you, (y/n)."
"Is this a proposal?" you joke.
"No, it's a command." And with that, he crushes his lips to yours.
