"Zayn is already at our flat. Apparently he got bored and wanted to hang out. He saw that we weren't home but he decided he'd chill anyways, which isn't surprising, he seems to like the peace and quiet. And the other boys will be there soon so we should get going" Liam explained. Duke started yapping at Liam which we took as a call for Liam to hold him instead of me.
"He's already attached to you, how cute." Liam just smiled his usual adorable smile and scratched behind Duke's ears, calming the pup down a bit. Duke settled down in Liam's arms so I took my phone out to take a picture.
"If you're taking a picture, I want you in it too." Liam informed so I stood in front of him, opening up the front camera and held it out in front of us. Liam did his usual adorable smirk and I grinned. "Okay, now we can go." I slid my phone in my back pocket after snapping the picture. Liam laced his fingers with mine as we walked through the lobby and gave the volunteer lady a polite nod as she waved us out and congratulated us once more.
"What do you think the boys are going to say?"
"I honestly have no idea. They'll probably be a little irritated or annoyed, saying we're moving too fast."
"I'm so sorry, I shouldn't have said anything" I immediately felt guilty because I didn't want the boys to pester him about it.
"No no no, It's fine love. I wanted a dog, they'll get over it."
"Okay" I slumped down in my seat with Duke asleep in my lap. I could already tell he was going to be my little buddy, definitely when Liam has to travel. We stayed silent for the rest of the car ride but it wasn't an awkward silence. Liam had one hand on my thigh the whole time, tracing soothing patterns with his thumb while the other hand was on the wheel.
"You two" Harry said, pointing to me and Liam.
"Got a dog?" Louis said, finishing Harry's statement.
"Yeah" we said in unison.
"Liam, yenno what hap-" Niall began but Liam cut him off.
"I know what happened with Loki and Danielle, blah blah blah."
"Guys, even if we break up, I'll still be around due to my job and because of Josh. So we still can both have him."
"If you say so" Harry shrugged, pulling out his phone. I looked up at Liam and he just shrugged, laying his hand on my thigh, squeezing it a bit.
"Well, I'm gonna' go. I haven't seen El in a while so I'm going to go visit her. See ya later, good luck with Duke." and with that, Louis was out the door. He didn't seem to approve of our decision.
"I'm hungry do you guys wanna go get a bite to eat?" Niall offered as he stood up and stretched. Harry and Zayn agreed, walking over to him. I was about to say I'll go but Liam beat me, "I'm not feeling too hot. Maybe some other time"
"Alright, later." they all piled out the door as I turned to Liam.
"You okay, love?"
"Yeah, I just wanted the day with you like I promised" he grinned, throwing his phone to the ground and pulling me on top of him so I was laying across his lap.
"Oh, well I'm okay with that." I smiled, wrapping my arms around his neck.
I don't really know what got into him all of a sudden, but I didn't mind it. He started kissing my neck and started leaving a trail of kisses along my jawline. His lips finally locked with mine in a gentle kiss as he cupped my face with one hand, stroking my cheek with his thumb. I started leaning back onto the couch so I pulled on his shirt collar, bringing him with me. He supported himself with his forearms which were on either side on my head.
