Dani's POV

I both valued and hated how secure I felt in Peter's arms. The love I have for him is a curse for both of us I know that now. Pan carefully examines my face trying to avoid the bruised areas. "I swear Dani, I am going to find Devin and kill him for harming you."

"You think this was to hurt me?" I chuckled humorless. "Look at this, Peter!" I pointed to my busted lip, black eye and swollen cheek. "This wasn't to hurt me, it was to anger you."

Pan's expression didn't sum up half of what he was truly feeling. "That move will be the reason he loses-"

"No, Peter it will be the reason you lose!" My words baffled him but I didn't give him a chance to speak. "You've fought when angry before and it ended in your death."

Felix's words about the twins came into mind, "Anger is as deadly as any poison, maybe worse. Magic is tied to emotion, someone who is incapable of controlling their feelings is incapable of containing their sanity or in this case their life."

"I don't plan on dying-"

"I suppose you planned on dying the first time?" I replied sarcastically earning a disapproving gaze from him.

"Listen to me princess," Pan lifted my chin up so I meet his lovely eyes. "I do not regret my actions before, granted I plan on surviving this time, but I don't regret them because you lived. As long as you are alive then I'll never be truly dead..I'll be right here." He placed his hand over my chest. "Always and forever."

I smiled sadly at the boy I love. "Peter I did something bad.."

"You're looking at the definition of bad, I'm sure it's nothing." He smirked in that way that tugged my heart.

"I made a-" My eyes immediately darted to the lost boy who walked up to us.

"James." I couldn't help the sigh of relief that escaped my lips nor the urge to hug him. Peter tensed as I wrapped my arms around the twin. "I thought Devin might go after you."

He snorted at that. "He wouldn't be smart if he did." Although Devin may be wise and have his army of resurrected lost boys I didn't deny James' ability to put them six feet under especially if Adam was by his side.

Speaking of his other half...
"Where is your brother?"

James' shoulders rose and fell. "No clue. He went to look for you and hasn't returned."

"What of Aeris?" This time both Pan and James shared a look before glancing at the ground.
I turned so I was facing both of them, a mothers fury on my features.
"Where is my daughter?!"

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Aeris' POV
I swear these powers are a fucking curse and one I can't control! They keep zapping me all over Neverland! There has to be a reason why. The last time I appeared on Skull Rock Felix was there. Once I appeared on the lagoon which wasn't far from the cave where the Siren, or, dead siren, was resident in.
Thinking of her brought back the coldness of Adam's words. "It's called survival of the fittest love, get use to it." The way he spoke haunted me in a way I couldn't explain.
I've seen Adam on edge and this was similar. I'm worried he's going to fall of that edge. I don't know why I should care, he tricked me into resurrecting my dead father Peter Pan and has killed more people then I could count on my fingers and toes.
'Maybe the world would be better if he fell.' The cruel thoughts made me cringe. It's probably this damn island making me think that way.
A hand landed on my shoulder and instinctively I raised my fist to punch the person however seeing his scar I calmed down.
"Felix how did you find me?"
"It's strange, actually. I just felt you were here."
"That is strange." I comment, continuing to walk.
"You wouldn't happen to know how to get back to the Enchanted Forest would you?"
"I know someone who might."
I stopped in my tracks. Me, Larissa, and Raevanna can go home. Everything can go back to normal. "Take me to this guy-is he a zombie to?"
"Don't know what that means." Felix says amusing me. "But if it means a not so dead dead guy then yes he is."
He lead me to a cave that was pretty far from where I was wondering about. Other dead/not dead lost boys came forward holding weapons at their sides, eyeing me with curiosity and hatred.
I tried to step back out the cave but Felix grabbed my arm stopping me. "What are you doing?!?"
"There's only one way off of this island; death."
"Death! Death!" The boys chanted loudly.
"Tonight Peter Pan's daughter dies, but not yet." A taller boy, shorter than Felix, with black hair stepped forward wearing the same careless smirk as the rest of them except his seemed more sinister.
"Let me guess.. You must be Devin, the boy everyone is itching to kill."
"The one and only." He bowed mockingly then examined me. "Beautiful, just like your mother but with your fathers eyes." Devin gripped my chin tightly so I could look directly at him.
I attempted to focus on my magic but it wasn't working in fact the more I tried to use it the weaker I felt and the stronger Devin's grip got.
"All that power was passed down to you. Magic revived us and only powerful magic can keep us alive. Tell me, have your powers been screwy lately?"
Using the little strength I had left I yanked my chin back away from his cold hands.
"I'll take that as a yes." His laugh is echoed by his lost boys. "The dead are not meant to walk pretty girl that's why we need magic."
"I thought Neverland was full of magic?" I managed to speak while gasping for air, "That's why you are all so young."
"The magic here isn't what kept us young. Peter did by making a deal with the shadows, the same one Dani did not too long ago. The problem with their deal is they require the Heart of the Truest Believer. There are only two we know of; Dani and Henry."
Henry? Who the hell is Henry?
"Last time Pan tried to get Henry's heart, it ended badly. This time we have you."
"I don't understand! Why not get Dani's heart?"
"To do that we need to put her guard dogs down." James and Peter.
"You're afraid of them." I state with a smirk. Devin shook his head in resistance. "Correct me if I'm wrong but aren't all of you just boys?"
Ignoring me he continued to talk, "You have a power, Aeris. Now I want you to give it to me." His voice got dangerously low as he grabbed my chin again to absorb the magic I had early tried to use. Devin's eyes changed into a strange color as my body weakened. When he was done I fell to my knees.
There is no way this boy is human, even if coming back to life made him all whack, Pan doesn't need to suck anyone's magic away. "What are you?"
"I'll give you a hint." He knelt down to me getting close to my ear. "Not Devin."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

I paced impatiently running my hands through my hair. "And you haven't searched for her?"

"Her powers have been going crazy since the spell-"

"I'm not in a mood for excuses Peter."

"Rufio is looking for her." James spoke up.

"You sent the wild zebra boy after my daughter? Lovely." I meant to continue pacing but a sharp pain shot through my chest bringing me to a stop. I looked up meeting Pan's eyes as he grabbed his chest in pain. Then I glanced at Alex who did the same thing.
"What was that-"

"We're running out of time." I growled.

"What do you mean out of time?" I refused to answer Peter's question.

"Amara what have you done?" Luckily before they could question any further on the subject a body came tumbling out of the bushes hog tied.

Rufio came out soon after kicking the boy over so we could see his face. Devin looked between all of us shocked and confused. "Dani?"

"Unwise last words lad." Peter hissed between clutched teeth as he begun to kick Devin on the ground repeatedly.

"Stop! Please stop!" Devin shouted trying to protect his head but that left his rib cage completely open.

"Peter stop!" I pushed Pan away stunning all of them.

"Why the bloody hell did you do that?!?" Peter yelled glaring down at me.

I had no answer so I swallowed a lump in my throat refusing to appear intimidated.

"What's happening?" Devin groaned rolling on the ground in pain.

"What's happening? You're the one with the rebellion of resurrected lost boys trying to kill us." James answered anger in his eyes.

Danny chuckled before groaning in pain. "Because that worked out so well for me the first time."

"It wasn't you?"

"I'm dead not stupid."

"All evidence to the contrary." Peter says with his arms crossed over his chest.

"But-but I saw you. You did this to me." I pointed to my bruises.

"Look," Devin's bruised face managed to create an innocence. "whatever creature you saw wearing my face, it wasn't me."

Hello, i'm back!
The good news is, I finally found the muse to update!
The bad news is, I don't think I will be returning to Wattpad after Lost Girl is finished. I'm growing up and time is low, and I have other priorities to focus on.
I'm sure you will enjoy the end of this book, I worked really hard on it!
Now, I noticed that with each chapter i've wrote, about 100 people are declined from that list. That's upsetting.
Hopefully for these last three chapters, that number will go up.

Please vote for Lost Girl! Love you! ❤️
