Chapter 4

Larissa ran up to my side, gently placing her hand on my shoulder, back in her human form. "Are you alright?" She questions.

"Fine." I spat out. I wasn't weakened by my fight with Adam. Actually, I felt stronger. Kind of like a brick wall was right in front if me, shielding me, protecting me.

"Really?" Larissa arched an eyebrow, chuckling a bit, "Because you look like you just had extremely rough sex." She tried to make my hair look presentable, but quickly gave up.

I quickly change the subject, starting to walk away. "Adam said that there was a way to stop my dreams."

"And you trust him?" Larissa snapped in front of me. "Someone who literally beat the shit out if you, you trust?"

"I don't have a choice. Adam says that they are my parents." I continue to walk, thinking about the whole reincarnation thing. Dani Jones and Peter Pan, I think to myself, rolling my eyes, he probably just made them up. There was no way that they are my parents.

"Does that mean you two were destined to be with each other?" Larissa asks, catching up to me.

"And die young together too apparently." I roll my eyes again.

But Larissa keeps on going. "But do you know that the people in your dreams are dead? Maybe they really are your parents."

I stop in my tracks. Maybe she's right.

"So, with this spell, you'll be able to find this out and you both won't fall into the same future?" She asks, standing in front of me.

"I hope not. Do you happen to know where any castles that a dragon once ruled are?" I cross my arms, biting my bottom lip.

"No, but I think I know someone who might."

Adam's POV

The girls took off as James and I watched in silence.

"Pan is probably wondering what's taking so long." James frowned, sitting down on a nearby rock.

"I bet." I say, still watching the girls.

"You could have been a little softer with your throws." He whined as stood up in front of him.

I chuckle a bit, waiting for him to speak again.

"You know, I think you enjoy throwing me around." It was his turn to chuckle as I just smirked.

"Jerk." He pushed me playfully, standing up.

"Bitch," I pushed him back, laughing.

"Enough with the brotherly love," Kyle waltzed in, "Where's the babe?"

He examined my face for a moment, looking at the multiple bloody bruises and scars. "Damn, Peter's daughter got you good." He smirked.

"He'll be happy to hear that one." The dark Shadow swoops in.

"Aeris left." I quickly answer his question, staring at the Shadow.

"You let her leave? We need her!" Kyle shouted a bit.

"We also need the spell-" James begins, but gets interrupted by the dark Shadow.

"The girl will come to you with the spell. Adam, James, Pan has ordered you to go with the girl. Kyle, you know what to do."

James and I exchanged confused glances. What was the Shadow talking about.

"James, do you know what Kyle is doing with the Shadow?" I question, keeping my eyes locked on Kyle.

"Not a clue brother." James responds, slapping Kyle hard on the back.

"That business is for me to know." Kyle snaps.

"Tell us or we'll make you," James clutched his fists the way Pan did when he got pissed.

"No, it's fine James. Whatever Pan told the Shadow to instruct Kyle to do is probably equally important as to our jobs." I place my hand on James' shoulder, gripping to hold him back.

"I'll have you know, I have a very important mission." Kyle furrows his eyebrows, crossing his arms.

"Just hurry up and get the damn spell so that we can go back to Neverland." James spat out, shaking his head, sounding surprisingly soft.

I place my hand on his shoulder again. "We will. And as soon as we are done here, we will go home brother, I promise."

"When will it come back?"

"Patience, darling, it will come soon."

On cue, the dark shadow flew down into the forest.

"They have met the girl." It hissed.

"Good. Tell them that the dragon's castle will be found, but through one of her mutual friends."

The shadow simply nods, flying into the air, disappearing once more.

She sighs as I look at her. "Is this going to work? Will she come back?"

I take her hands. "Just trust me."

I step forward, watching as the shadow disappears. A dark smirk curls on my lips, thinking lovely thoughts in my twisted brain.

"Peter Pan never fails."
