Chapter 13

Come on, work! I try to focus, but ends up into a failure. My breathing rapidly increases as I grip the metal bars holding me in a caged cell. This is hopeless! I am magicless, and stuck by a prince gone mad for power.

The cell was small, but big enough so I could walk in. A ray of light caught my attention. My eyes followed the flicker of light, which was odd, because it was nighttime. The light ended up being a sliver of the moon's rays, but enough for me to see what was going on.

I watched from afar as Prince Ashton, who was waiting in an alleyway, twiddled with something laced in between his fingers. Every piece of him seemed to disgust me, and everybody in this damn kingdom seemed to despise him, hence the feeling of cold and utter darkness surrounding the kingdom just from witnessing the Prince's actions as I was hauled in.

A stranger walked to him, handing him something in a bag. "Thank you," Ashton's words slowly whispered out, his words dancing around in the air.

"Whatever it takes to become a tyrant, right?" The stranger grinned.

"For power, and for control, especially over of our lovely prisoner that is kept here," Ashton continued, causing me to stumble against the cold, stone wall. Slowly, I stood back up and watched the twosome again.

"Yes, I've been aware that Pan's daughter is capable of creating and using magic, if I am correct?" The stranger inquired.

Ashton took a step into the moonlight, to which I could see his dirty blonde hair and hazel eyes. "You are," he answered, pursing his lips. The Prince handed the stranger another small bag just as the stranger gave Ashton first.

"And whatever it will take for you to get back home with the others, will be my pleasure to assist you with, as long as the others don't come looking for the girl." Ashton's lips curled into a dark smirk.

The stranger didn't say anything, but gave Ashton the same devilish grin, stepping into the moonlight. As soon as the light shined on his face, I gasped in shock.

Kyle turned away from Ashton, holding the small, dark purple bag in his hand. "Pleasure doing business with you, Your Highness."

My grip on the metal bars makes my knuckles turn white with each passing hour that I'm stuck here. I sooth myself, trying to keep from going crazy. "Let me out! I don't deserve to be here!" I yelled, my voice projecting throughout the halls.

"Isn't that what they all say?" Great. Just the Prince I wanted to see waltzes in, standing on the other side of the bars.

"Listen here you little punk. Once I get out, and when I do, I'll make you-" My angry remark stops when Ashton, with that cocky smirk glued to his face, walked over to me on the other side of the bars once again. I punched him straight in the forehead through the bars out of frustration. A part of his forehead was bruised, turned purple. He fixed his golden crown, then glared at me.

"Thank you," he sweetly smiled, "You see, your sweet words have moved me." He licked his lips, glancing back at Hook and two guards who stood beside him. "Why would you even need that much dark magic anyway?" I knew he was speaking of the wand. What was it with Ashton and this damn wand?

"Look, I don't even know what it is! I just used a location spell to find Ada-" I shut my mouth, having the strange urge to not speak about the twins.

"Who?" Ashton demanded.

I open my mouth but no words come out. I cannot tell him about the spell.

"Speak when you are spoke to!" Ashton yelled his orders often, I could tell.

"That's not possible right now," Adam says cooly, leaning against the closest wall, smirking. "Hello sweetheart."
