Chapter 8

Aeris' POV

After hearing what Adam and James went through, it surprised me. Even though Adam and James were such asses at times, they were once these boys who actually showed emotion. It made me feel sorry for them.

I, of course, didn't get much sleep because of my dreams. The Boy and Girl were still there; the Girl cried and screamed in bed, her pain I could physically feel, while reaching out for the Boy. But the Boy still walked away.

When everyone else awoke, even me, Adam and James were gone. "What the hell!" Raevanna swears under her breath as Larissa and I examined the perimeter of the camp.

Just when I thought that Adam had the tiniest bit of feeling for me, he leaves. Story of my life.

"Great," I rolled my eyes, "Now we lost the two super twins who were just on our side."

Larissa and Raevanna glanced over at me and chuckled. I knew just when Larissa opened her mouth to speak, she was gonna say something cocky or sarcastic. When she saw me, she paused, and closed it quickly.

"How are we going to get the spell now?" Larissa asked, picking up her bow and arrow that Adam threw her at the Dragon's Castle.

Raevanna nodded. "Well, all I know that the spell would be easy. We just need to get the ingredients-"

"That didn't exactly answer my question. And don't Adam and James have the spellbook?" Larissa interrupted.

"Yes," Raevanna said, pursing her lips, "Now we need to find then."

I groaned. "Great, another weird adventure. Right after a Dragon's Castle, who was really an old lady!" I crossed my arms to my chest and rolled my eyes.

Those magic twins were always on the move.

"Now," Raevanna began, "The people who have to reenact the spell has to be the recreations of the people in the dreams." She looked at me, "That's you and Adam, Aeris."

I nodded, silently praying that this spell wouldn't get me killed.

Adam's POV

I was mesmerized by the girl, leaning against the wall, topless, in nothing but black undergarments. She is beautiful; tan skin, chocolate brown hair, perfect cheek bones, toned body, and those eyes. Her emerald green orbs darken with lust as I walked closer to her.

Her bottom lip quivered as I caressed her cheek. "Not such a princess anymore, aren't I," she snickered.

"So, you're telling me that you're not gonna be this little girl anymore?" I tease.

"You're the one who likes to be in control,"

Smirking, I squeezed her ass, bringing her closer as she lets out a little "oh." I crashed my lips against hers tasting alcohol that laced her tongue.

Aeris tugged my shirt off indicating that she wanted it off.

Chuckling, I lifted the black fabric over my head. Once it was off, Aeris was gone and in her place was...

No, that's not possible.

Sarina with her golden blonde locks and her blue eyes appeared in front of me, a knife clutched into her hands.

"What's the matter, Adam?" She gently touches my cheek. Across her neck was a thick red line. "You look like you've seen a ghost."

Aeris soon appears, a huge cut bleeding rapidly from her stomach.

"Aeris!" Immediately I rush beside her, trying to heal the wound with my magic. She collapsed into my arms.

Sarina circled around us dangerously. "Don't be stupid, Adam, don't get attached. Last time you did didn't end so well."

I open my eyes widely, panting like a beast. Nothing makes me so relieved than seeing the warehouse. 'None of that actually happened,' I breathed to myself.

"Nightmare?" James smirks, throwing me the spellbook. I nodded.

"Stay out of my head." I snapped.

He shrugged. "I was simply reminding you on what we only came here to do: We get Aeris to believe in Pan, and then go home, not to get attached with her."

"One, you are an ass, and two, I am not getting attached to Pan's daughter." I emphasize the last words.

"Really, because I only manipulated the second half of your little sex dream." He states matter - of - factly.

"Shouldn't Aeris' head be the one you're going in?" I questioned, flipping through the spellbook.

"I tried, believe me, but our girl didn't sleep last night. She was restless." He answered, throwing his black shirt on.

I look up from the book. "You didn't check on her?"

"Hey, babysitting is not my job, that's your's. I'm just here to make sure that my little brother doesn't get his ass kicked like back in Wonderland." James chuckled, remembering our village days.

"You're only older by a couple of minutes," I snapped, chewing my bottom lip.

"Three minutes to be exact!" He reminds me happily.

I get out of bed, tugging my shirt on while yawning. Footsteps make me and James glance at each other. The footstep's echo is too loud to be Kyle's.

Two figures appear at the doorway, one a man and the other a woman. They step into the light, revealing his long leather coat and her grey and black dress along with her matching headdress.

The woman and man step into the light. I instantly recognize them.

Rumplestiltskin and the Evil Queen, Regina.

The Evil Queen flashed closer to us. She opened a bottle of magic right in front of James as he collapsed to the ground. I instantly held my hands out, letting the red magic attempt to fight off Rumple, who was using his magic.

His was too strong for me. But I was late to respond, I darted into the forest, hoping to find Aeris nearby.

"Sarina....." The memory of what I did to her would stick in my head forever.
