Twenty Two: About Me

Aeris' POV

"Tell me a story about you and James again." I say leaning against the iron bars.

"One day in Neverland me and my brother were wondering around when we saw Dani and Peter standing over an edge. You've never seen two people so consumed with each other's presence. I remember me and James watching them in awe as we wondered if our parents were ever like that. "

"Were they?"

He sighs before answering.
"I never knew my real father and my mother was a stone cold bitch so I'd say no."

"I'm sorry."

"At least I had James with me. Anyways back to the story.. Dani and Peter did something we were shocked of, they jumped together. Immediately me and James ran to the edge but we didn't see any sign of them at least until they shot up into the sky soaring high like a pair of angels."

I close my eyes picturing the pair gliding in the air, I see Dani laughing in awe as Pan watches her with loving eyes.

"James being the idiot he is decided to jump off as well thinking he too could fly here."

"What'd you do?"

Adam chuckled, followed by a sheug of his broad shoulders. "I followed after."

"You jumped off a cliff?!"

Alec chuckled lowly from the other side of this cave. "Hey, if James wouldn't be a coward neither could I. We nearly hit the hard ground before Dani and Peter sprinkled pixie dust on us."

"Pixie dust?"

"Faith, trust and little pixie dust-"

"Dude you did not just rhyme." I laugh amused.

"There's that giggle."

"Your childhood sounds a lot more adventurous than mine. All I did was shoot bows and arrows at deer with my father, Robin Hood, er, adoptive father at the time, I had no idea he was my fake father. But my life there was peaceful... It was normal."

"Sometimes normal is nice."

"My father's Peter Pan and my mother is-"

"Despite Dani's faults, when she loves she loves with every ounce of her, I've seen it. She was a mother to the lost boys..to me and James-"

"Your brother- the ones she's screwing? You do realize how fucked up that sounds?"

"What can I say my brother does have my deviously good looks."

"I admit your face is one of the better I've worn." An exact copy of Adam came forward with a wicked grin.

"What did you do to him?" I could feel Adam's power, what little he had, begun to build up. This wasn't James and Adam and I both knew it.

"Adam calm down! You're giving it what it wants." I glance at the strange shadow thing with fearful eyes.

"Smart girl, like her mother. As for your brother, I merely had a snack off of his magic. Good stuff makes me all gooey inside." The creature licked it's sharp teeth with it's huge tongue. "Something tells me dinner is going to be a feast."

Dani's POV

A cave where Adam and Aeris changed everyone's fate? "It has to be the cave on Skull Rock. That's where Adam and Aeris performed the spell that rose the dead."

"Then what are we waiting for? Let's go kill the bug." Peter says meaning to start a bloodbath.

"We can't just go in there with out a plan of attack Pan." James says and I agree.

"I have a plan, attack." Pan snapped smugly.

"Even if we get to them you guys are forgetting one big problem; it said we can only save one. Personally I'm up for getting Adam back." Rufio states earning death glares from me, Larissa, and Peter.

"No, we get Aeris out first." I demand.

James shouts in protest. "And I suppose my brother will be left to rot!"

"We'll get them both, but Aeris is my priority." I'm not sure if that's a promise I can keep.

James' fist were balled into fists as they glowed their dangerous red.

"I'm truly sorry James.." With a snap of my finger I transport the bracelet that was on Peter and made it appear on the boy's wrist. His eyes widened as he looked at the represent band.

"You can't do this!"

"Just until Aeris is safe." I turned to Rufio who stiffened but didn't appear to be willing to cross me. "Gather the lost boys, have them prepare for an attack." With a nod the boy took off.

"Larissa can you keep an eye on James?" The girl clearly wanted to object but instead reluctantly agreed.

"Peter I need you to come with me."

"Yes ma'am." He smirked finding my commanding alluring. I grabbed his hand and teleported us to my tent. He immediately sat on the bed eyeing me curiously.

"Not that I'm against a little play time, but shouldn't we be with the others?" I rolled my eyes at Peter's smart remark, going through my box of things I had laying on the desk.

"You're quite right, which is why we aren't playing." That remark earned a groan. I was still looking for them when Pan wrapped his arms around my waist kissing my neck softly. "We don't have time Peter.."

"You should know better then to speak of time in a place where time stays still." He laughed against my skin sending pleasant shivers. As I was about to give in I found the two beans I was searching for.

"Magic beans?" He asked confused.

"One for leaving. One for our return."

"I don't understand, I thought you said we weren't leaving."

"Until we get Aeris." I correct him. "Then we are visiting some old friends."

"Why return after?"

I turned to face him throwing my arms around his neck. "Neverland is our home, I'm tired of abandoning the things I love...will you stay?"

He grabbed my waist and pulled me so I was closer against him. "I've always called you my Princess, but I was wrong. You're not a Princess." My face dropped at that and I looked down however Pan lifted my chin up. "You are a Queen, Dani and every Queen needs her King."

I tip toed a tad so I could crash my lips on his. The kiss was deep an passionate. I didn't want it to end but it had to, I have to save my daughter and then go with Pan to the Enchanted Forest so we can get Henry's heart. This time I swear Peter will not die. I won't allow it.

James' POV

Larissa was watching me cautiously not sure if I was going to try and escape. A lot of good that would do me with this thing on! Even if I manage to get away that thing has my brother guarded and without my magic I'll get us both killed.

"You gonna try and fight me?" Larissa questions with an arched brow.

"What's the point in that?"

"You've got a lot more muscle than I do." She states and I arch a brow. "Not that I've notice your muscles or anything- it's just- they're kind of there." Her eyes wondered me. "All bulging and stuff."

I smirk walking closer. "There's no doubt I could take you down. It'd be easy." As I take another step she tenses humoring me slightly. "It would be quick." Another step. "It'd be like breaking a toothpick."

Not it was my turn to be stunned as she swiftly swooped my feet out from under me then pinned me on down on the sand.

"You forgot one thing." Her eyes shifter their inhuman gold. "I'm a werewolf and we aren't easily broken."

With a huff I easily switching our positions so I'm pinning her down, my hand wrapped around her throat. "Like I said, easy." I roll off laying in the sand confusing Larissa.

"Escaping isn't the problem love it's everything after that I'm-"

"Worried?"

"Ha no. I'm just-I can't screw up not with my brothers life on the line."

"There has to be another way we can save both of them."

"I'm all open for suggestions doggie."

"I am not a dog." She glares, cheeks puffing with anger.

I can't help but burst out laughing at her angry face. It's pretty adorable in a strange way.
"Wolf same thing."

"Not at all, wolves are more vicious and their bites are always worst than their bark."

"Careful doggie, that sounded like a challenge."

Before she continue our banter the others return along with Rufio's band of lost boys.
"Is everyone clear on the plan?" Dani asked.
"Go in, save Aeris, kill the damned thing."

Pan states then continues to speak,"let's not wait for the grass to grow." Peter sounds a bit impatient and I can't help but wonder what happened between the pair. I can't afford to get distracted by Dani, I have to focus on Adam.

Aeris' POV

I'm going to die. I am going to die in fucking Neverland because of my parents, who I didn't even know existed. Adam let out a pained grown as the thing, no longer wearing any face at all, stood in front of the cage gripping his chin as it drained some of his magic. With a muffled laugh the creature stepped back. "They're almost here."

It quickly took Devin's appearance then whistled calling forward it's army of living dead lost boys who, surprise surprise, want to hurt Dani and Peter in any way possible. They circled around our cages as Devin look-a-like stood behind them.

"You're going to be okay Aeris... They're coming for you." I looked over to the left at Adam's cage, his small lazy smile saddening me. "For both of us." I could see in his eyes that he didn't believe that.

"What do we have here?" Pan came strolling in, by himself, amusement all over his features as he looked over the crowd. "Hmm killed you, killed you, ripped your heart, killed you. Sorta want to kill your brother." Peter says the last part to Adam before looking at me. "I'm here for the girl!" He shouts so everyone hears loud and clear. "I can insure anyone who assists me will be rewarded, those who go against me will die, again." There's no hiding his wickedness.

"You have no power here Pan. This is no longer your kingdom. It's mine." Devin/Shadow Creature declares.

Peter waits for at least one lost boy to join him but none step forward.

He shrugs uncaringly. "Alright, death then." A fire ball congers in his palm and he throws it directly on one of the boys setting him on fire.
The others quickly react attacking Pan but he was quick and easily took some out. Just as one was about to stab Peter in the back Dani teleported in easily snapping the boys neck. Pan glanced over at her smiling before continuing to fight them off. I must admit they are a sight to see. Dani and Peter move gracefully with one another in a way that is dangerously beautiful. Suddenly the creature chuckled.

"Why are you laughing? Your army is getting slaughtered!" I remark.

"Are they?" I peer at the 'dead' bodies gasping as they begun to move again.

"You can't kill the dead but the living however.." He motions to Felix who was aiming an arrow straight at Dani. All it would take is one shot to the chest and she'd be dead.

"Dani!" I shout causing her to turn the instant Felix sent the arrow flying. With speedy reflexes Pan reached out, one hand holding Dani behind him the other catching the arrow. I couldn't hid my relief.

About 10 lost boys led by Rufio entered along with my friends, Raevanna and Larissa. I gripped the cage bars tightly fearing for them subduing to any harm. Adam did the same as he caught sight of James. "Idiot." He mumbled.

Pain shot through me as the creature outstretched his palms toward Adam and I. What happens if it consumes all of our magic? Will we survive?

"Adam!" James shouts pummeling through fighting lost boys taking a few out as he aimed to strike the shifter. Why the hell isn't he using magic?

James tackled the thing to the ground raising his fist to hit it but it sent him flying backwards instead. "Silly boy! I am powered by your pals here! The only way to stop me is to stop my power source." Devin double strolled to James picking him up by the throat, palm glowing red. He then stuck his fist into James' gut. "Still I thought you'd put up more of a fight."

"Oh the fight hasn't started yet bub." James shines a bloody grin past Devin double to Adam who's body is glowing red. Immediately it releases his brother causing James to slump to the ground in pain as he continued to bleed.
"James!" Adam yells, his magic mixed with emotion busting his cage right open. All the power coursing around him was insane. How can a boy be that powerful? Magic is strongly connected to ones soul, I guess seeing his brother getting attacked unlocked the darker side of magic because the deep red, almost black, light surrounding Adam can't be good.

"You want magic? Here." In a blink of an eye Adam was in front of the shifter grabbing it's throat. "Take it." Something horrifying happened then . Unlike the other times it drained us he seemed to be losing control of his current form. One moment he'd look like Devin and the next he'd have no face just white eyes.

"Sshh it's okay lass, don't look at them focus on me." Peter opened the cage reaching for my hand. I took it but I couldn't look away from Adam.

"ToO MUCH!" The creature shrieked. Adam squeezed its neck tightly and a loud cracking noise shattered through all of the fighting.

Instinctively I barred my face in the closest body. Peter tensed at first but soon embraced me, comfortingly. "It's okay, you're safe now."
I felt incredibly ill and dizzy, as I slumped to faint Peter caught me lifting me in his arms.
"I got you princess." He whispers carrying me toward Dani, who looks gratefully at us.
Gently she pushes a strain of hair behind my ear.

"You're okay?"

"Just tired.."

"Let's get you to a bed."

"Wait. What about.." I yawn mid-sentence, "Adam?"

"I'll handle the twins, Peter take her to my tent."

"You sure?" He questions obviously not wanting to leave her.

"I'll be fine just get her out of here we don't have much time before that thing wakes up again."

Dani's POV

I watch Pan vanish with our daughter before aiding James as his brother sits beside him.
He was bleeding quiet a lot but with his shirt covering the wound I cant tell how badly it actually is.

"May I?" I question reaching to lift his shirt up.

"Never had to ask before." He chuckled coughing up blood as he did so.

"Don't speak James." There's a nasty opening on his stomach.

"You remember where your old tent is?" I ask Adam who nods. "It's been turned into a infirmary, take him there quickly. I'm going to get the others out then I'll meet up with you."

"Hurry Dani." His voice is low and his breathing his rough. All that magic could tear someone a part from the inside. The fact that he could carry his brother up and have enough energy to teleport them out of here is astonishing.

Rufio and I gather our remaining lost boys and exit skull island..well they do at least. I stop by the hour glass sighing as the sand appears to be almost out.

"It's now or never Dani.." With a deep breath I show up in Adam's tent gathering supplies to stitch James up. He was in a lot of pain as the needles sunk in and out of his skin.

"Fuck." He groans griping the sheets underneath him tightly.

"I'm use to that response from you." I smirk finishing up the last part.

"Ow don't make me laugh, it hurts."

"You'll live, here take this." I hand James a special drink I made out of some berries and herbs.

"It will help with the pain." And knock you right out..

"Not bad.." He yawns handing me the drink then lays down. He dozes off alarming Adam.

"Relax, I just gave him something to help with the pain and give him some rest. He'll wake up in a few hours." I place the cup down , "Adam... can I ask you something?"

"Depends on the question."

"Do you have any more of that medicine that allows you to leave Neverland."

"A little, why?" Adam pulled out a needle from inside his jacket pocket. "I'm sorry about this Adam ." I don't give him time to react as I bash his head hard against a desk. I take the needle out of his hand a transport back to my tent.

"What's wrong?" Pan immediately asks. I glance past him out the sleeping Aeris before answering. "It's time."

Aeris' POV

I woke up at the sound of my name being said. Larissa and Raevanna sat beside me wearing a concerned expression.

"What?" I question.

"Dani and Peter are gone." Raevanna states.

I sit up frantically. "Gone where?!?"

The tent flap gets thrown open as Adam walks in, holding up his brother beside him, with a nasty gash on his forehead. "To the Enchanted Forest."

OHHH SHITTTT
this chapter was INTENSE.
there were fighting, gory scenes along with cute scenes, like the ones between Peter and Aeris.
ALTHOUGH HE AND DANI LEFT >:(
