Chapter 12
* a few days later *
Adam's POV
Although I despise the color red, something about the simple shade that creates a sense of power and danger. I'll admit, I prefer the darker shade, and the blood that stained James' and my brother's hands were as if Aphrodite was here herself.
My brother smirked, blood smearing his face and clothes. I'm pretty sure that's how I look at the moment.
A gargling noise held our attention. James and I walked over to the sound of a crawling fairy. I held her back by her hair as I could tell that she wasn't going to last long. Blood was filling her lungs by the second. Shame. She seemed like a pretty girl.
"That wand, where is it?" I questioned, pulling her hair back hard.
In order to complete the spell, James and I needed to retrieve the 'legendary' Black Fairy's Wand. I was surprised that Regina or Rumple didn't have it. If they did, we would've been to Neverland by now, but getting the damn wand would've been the problem.
The fairy spits in my face raging me.
I pulled her hair, showing no mercy. "You little bit-"
"Listen sweetheart, we need that wand and i'm sure that there are more fairies we can slaughter but now, I would prefer torture for a better time." James gives her his devious smirk, seeming to make the fairy spill where the wand was.
She told us of a abandoned graveyard near Prince Thomas' kingdom. For all we know, that kingdom was abandoned years ago, but who knows who could've claimed it by now.
"For your willing to cooperate," James glared at the fairy who screamed, "you get an easy death. Adam, would you like to do the honors?"
I groan, rolling up my sleeve as James grabs the fairy's hair. "Why do I always have to do it?"
"Because you are better at it then me." James gave me a reassuring dark smile as the fairy braced herself.
Returning the smile, I dug my fist into her chest, pulling out her heart. It was pure, unlike what i'd seen as James' and my own heart, darkness. It was the complete opposite. I clutch the beating organ until it turns to dust.
"No!" A girl's shriek echoed in the woods.
Tears streamed down her round cheeks. By her very detailed blue outfit, i'd say she was a fairy. Ignoring us, she ran to the lifeless body.
James stepped foreword to take her out, but I reached my arm in front if him, holding him back. "We know where the wand is." I reminded him as he nodded, turning away from the sobbing fairy.
I followed James. Quickly, I looked back at the girl, who seemed to mutter something like, "I will avenge your deaths."
Fat chance.
She's angry good. She'll need anger if she even wants to land a hit on us.
Smirking, I jog up to my brother, catching up with him. "That was fun and easy." He says chuckling.
"But who do I feel like getting the actual wand will be harder?" I questioned, trying to make sense of what my brain was trying to tell me.
"Maybe it's part of the recreation thing, who knows." James answered, continuing to walk into the woods.
With a halt, I was reminded of our guest back at the warehouse. The one who also is a recreation.
"Aeris."
