Chapter 3

Aeris's POV

My back roughly hits the ground, making me chuckle. "Is that the best you've got?" I smirk, standing up.

"Not even close." One of the twins charges at me once again, except I roll to my side, causing his shirtless chest to slam the ground. They really like to be shirtless, don't they? I think to myself, watching him get up.

Quickly, I jump on his back, wrapping my arms around his neck. His brother and their friend hold me up by my arms, slamming me against a tree. I scream in pain as Larissa comes back in her wolf form, growling.

"It's okay, I got them!" I shout to Larissa as the second twin slams me again.

Swearing under my breath, I dig my heel into his side, releasing my arms as he grasps onto his now bloody side in pain. His brother, the first twin, motions for the second twin to attack again, but he refuses, raising his free hand, telling me to stay back.

"Feisty, I like feisty." The first brother snickers, pushing me up against a tree.

"Then you're gonna love me by the time we're finished." I shoot back.

The two of us continue to fight for about twenty more minutes, both of us panting for air. He maybe stronger, but I am faster and smaller, therefor i can easily avoid most of his hits.

"I'm bored!" The second brother whines, still holding onto his side, "Come on, give me a chance!"

"But you might harm the girl." The first brother mutters.

"You're Adam." I smirk, pointing to the first brother who has been battling me.

"Guilty," Adam nods, mirroring my expression as the cut on his busted lip begins to bleed.

"And you're James." I look over at the second twin.

"Clearly." James rolls his eyes. Smartass.

"Then what do you want with me?" I spat, crossing my arms.

"You know about these re-occurring dreams that you have?" Adam asks.

"Yeah, i've been dreaming about this boy and girl for years now." I mutter, looking down at my bruised leg. "Wait, how do you know about MY dreams?"

"Ah, you didn't win just yet." James smirks, kicking my feet off of the ground, causing me to fall right on my butt. Before I have time to get up, James' body clashes against mine. James' huge hands pin me down on the ground. His nude chest is against mine, causing chills to run down my spine.

"Let me go." I growl, trying to break free.

James doesn't do anything except bring his lips against my ear, feeling his hot breath against my skin. He whispers something, but I can't hear it.

"You lose," is the only thing I can hear, getting up as he faces me. I can't loose! Not to some asshole!

I regain my strength as anger build inside of me. Instinctively, I push my arms out forward, causing sone force to push Adam and James against two parallel trees. They wince in pain as I slowly pull my arms back, turning them to shockingly look at my palms. What just happened? I think to myself, my expression clearly shocked.

"No, you lose." I smirk, my lips forming an angry frown.

"James, that's enough." Adam says, but James ignore him, threading to charge at me again.

Larissa shifts to charge, but James raises his hand freezes her.

"I said that's enough!" Adam hissed, picking up and throwing his brother onto the ground with extreme strength.

James picked himself up, giving his brother a loud growl. "You really want to fight me brother?" James laughed. Even bloody and bruised, he seemed so willing to fight.

"Another time. Now we have business to take care of." Adam said, turning away as James followed, disappearing into the shadows.

"Wait!" I grab Adam's arm, ignoring the way his muscles flexed as he turned to face me again. "You haven't told me about my dreams."

"Do you believe in reincarnation?" Adam asked, flinching his arm away.

No. Instead of answering, I waited for him to continue.

"I know about your dreams. I've been having the same ones, except I feel the boy's pain." Adam muttered.

"And I feel the girls. So are you saying that we are reincarnations of them?" I ask, crossing my arms.

"Dani Jones and Peter Pan. Those are their names." Adam bites his lower lip.

"How do you know?" I question sternly.

"I do my research." Adam responds.

"You're lying." I arch an eyebrow.

"Maybe. Maybe not." He shrugs.

I roll my eyes, ignoring his comment. He turns to walk away, but I grab his arm again.

"How do we make them stop? I don't want their pain or suffering. I don't want anything to do in this wonderstruck disaster!" I clutch my fists, pacing back and fourth, taking deep breaths.

"There's a spell. I don't have it, but I know where we can get it." Adam says, watching me trying to clear my mind.

I stop. "We find this spell and it'll be all over?"

"Precisely." Adam wickedly smiles.

"Alright." I sigh, nodding in agreement. "Where do we find it?"

He takes a step closer to me, smirking mischievously. "You don't wanna know, princess."

"Try me." I challenged, my lips curling into a small smile.

"It's in a castle a dragon once ruled." Adam said with a serious expression on his face.

Why does that sound like some type of riddle?! I ask myself, furrowing my eyebrows.

Amused with my confusion, Adam disappears into the shadows the same way James did.
