Chapter 17
Aeris' POV
The Lost Boys are frantically passing around weapons with matching worried expressions. They seem to really care for Dani. I vaguely remember Adam speaking of her like a mother.
A sting of jealously shoots through me.
Dani treated the Lost Boys as her children, but why couldn't she treat her only daughter like she was loved? She couldn't keep me because of Peter's stupid desire to clutch his magic, and immortality for the island.
"Here," Adam didn't look at me as he tossed a bow and arrow set towards me. Surprisingly I caught the bow, however, the arrows spilled to the ground.
I bent to pick them up but Adam was already in front of me picking them up. "Adam, about our conversation at the beach-"
"Don't mention it."
"But-"
"I'm serious Aeris. Drop it." His tone is ice cold, somewhat scarring me. He notices this and relaxes his reflexes. "We have bigger problems than our conversation."
I nod, grasping the weapon tightly.
Adam and Rufio inform the Lost Boys of a boy named Devin. Apperently, he was some Lost Boy who was dead, or supposed to be dead.
"Why are we all looking for one guy?" Larissa questions, walking up beside me.
"Because if both Devin and Pan are alive, who's to say that there aren't more?" Adam stands up with a small grunt, handing me the collection of arrows.
"How many people died here?" I ask weakly.
The look on both Adam and James' faces as the other twin enters the conversation doesn't ease my nerves.
"A lot," they reply in unison.
"Okay so we-" My surrounding begin to shift in and out of focus and the all too familiar vomiting feeling courses through me. Oh no, not again.
As expected, I was not in the same spot I was in before. I was somewhere totally different, in complete darkness.
"Great! Now where am I?" I groan, but at least this place seems a little familiar.
"Hello?" A voice calls through the darkness.
"Who's there?" I hold the bow and arrows in attack position. Instead, I dropped the weapon, thinking of my magic. Focusing on the fragile topic, my palms glow blue, in signal of attack.
"Easy there girlie," a boy came foreword, a cloak covering his face, except for a nasty scar across his face.
"Who are you?"

Adam's POV
Aeris had gone transparent before completely disappearing.
"Where the hell did she go?" Larissa shouted, accusing me.
"How am I supposed to know?"
"You're the big magic guy here! Do something!" She is now in my face, irritating me slowly.
"Like what?!"
"Anything!"
With a groan, my fists clutched tightly with red magic burning. I hadn't realized that my fist was above me, ready to strike the she-wolf, but before I had the chance, another hand pulled me away.
"Don't do something you might regret later," Rufio warns.
"Where's James?" I demand, wanting to know what my brother is up to. He's probably in the play house with Dani, for all I know from this newfound information.
"Last time I checked he was going to teach Pan a lesson." Rufio answers.
"Peter?"
"No, the other Pan." Rufio says dryly, earning an amused scowl.
"I'm going to warn them-"
"What about Aeris?" Raevanna speaks softly as if she were afraid of me. Kyle is beside her, watching us with fierce glares. I seem to be scaring a lot of people lately.
"Me, Kyle, and a couple of other boys will search for her," Rufio states, gesturing Kyle before turning to me. "You need to find Devin and find out what he's doing."
I nod, then vanish, feeling my brother near. As magic twins, we can feel when one is near to the other. I could locate him without any magic at all.
James was leaning against a tree, nearby to Pan who looked amused.
"Do we have an understanding?" James is completely oblivious to my presence.
"We do." Pan answered, that smirk never daring to leave his face.
I am clearly missing something, but now was not the time to question them.
"We have a problem."
"What kind of problem?" James asks.
"A Lost Boy named Devin is on the island."
Pan chuckled, getting on his feet. "That wanna-be me? Ha! That certainly changes the game, doesn't it?"

So sorry for the wait!
This chapter is crappy but oh well 😝
After Lost Girl is done, there might be a third book to the Wonderstruck series, but i'm not entirely sure. I just need to wait for the ending! 😁
And if I will not continue the Wonderstruck series, I will focus more on Last Chance and possibly start a new Star Wars fanfic! I love Star Wars! 😍
So yeah, sorry for so many updates! I am going to camp on July 20th all the way to August 3rd! So I will be gone for two weeks then! ⛺️
So yeah, leave comments and vote! ✨
💕- Julianna
