Chapter 5
Aeris' POV
"Come on, this way," Larissa says, walking on front of me. We were walking in the dark forest for quite a bit. I was beginning to think that we were lost until she stopped before a large castle.
I gasped. The castle was dark, gloomy almost, in the night sky. The moon's light made the windows seem rather gleaming by the light. "What is this place?" I question, turning to Larissa.
"This, is not just anyone's castle, you know." She smirks, overlooking the huge building.
I roll my eyes. "Is this the Dragon's Castle?" I murmur, turning back to look at it.
"No, this is the one who knows where that castle is." Larissa's eyes are still locked onto it. "This is Rumplestiltskin's Castle."
I step back in shock. "No! My father never allowed me to speak of him, none of the less go into his castle!"
She finally turns to me, taking her eyes off of the castle. "But we need to Aeris! It's only the first step to stop you from having your nightmares!"
I sigh in defeat. "Alright. How are we going to get in?"
She starts to walk up a little hill, stopping at two huge doors. "Just knock." Larissa clutches her fingers into a fist and knocks on the door.
The door creaks open to reveal a girl, about our age, with lightish brown-red hair up in a low side ponytail, her a faint freckles to be seen along her cheeks, and green eyes sparkling in the moonlight. She wears a dark red short sleeve shirt over a light brown long sleeve one, brown pants and black boots. A light brown belt wrapped around her waist and a satchel thrown over her shoulder.
"Can I help you?" She asks, looking at us with a confused expression.
"Yes. We need to speak with Rumplestiltskin." I stated firmly, keeping my eyes on the girl.
"He's, um, busy." The girl shutters.
"Busy? Well, we need him. Are you connected with him in any way?" Larissa questioned.
The girl nods. "Yes. I'm sorry, I forgot to introduce myself. I'm Raevanna. Rumplestiltskin is my father."
I make a confused expression. "He's your father? I never knew that he had a daughter!" I exclaimed.
"Well then, Raevanna. We need a map. One to where it leads to a Castle that a Dragon once ruled." Larissa explained, peeking inside, hoping to spot the Dark One.
She sighs. "Alright, come in." Raevanna walks into the castle. Larissa and I gasp, taking in the beautiful room. A dark chandelier hung above on the ceiling, and a gold fireplace flamed, hearing up the area. Raevanna stepped into a room where bookshelves were lined up everywhere. "This is my mother's library. She loves to read, and so do I. Everything just seems better in books, you know." She shrugs, stopping to pick up a book, pointing to another door. "That's my father's office."
I look around the library. I tend to like reading too, but never really had the time in between school, chores, and shooting lessons with father. I simply nodded, walking towards the door, Larissa following. "Thank you." I grin at Raevanna.
Just as I was about to turn the handle, Raevanna stopped us. "What are your names?" She asks, closing the book.
"Well, i'm Aeris and this is Larissa." I answered.
Raevanna nods. "Nice to meet you."
I nod back at her, disappearing into the office. A large chair sits behind a desk, in front of two big windows. The chair creaks as it spins around to face us. "Hello dearies." Rumpletiltskin smirks, looking straight at us.
"We need something-" I start, but get interrupted quickly by the Dark One.
"Yes, yes I know," he starts, "you need a map. What type?" Rumple stood up, examining his papers in a shelf on the side of the room.
I cross my arms. "We need one to where it leads to a castle a dragon once ruled."
He stops, turning slowly to look at us. "Oh, you mean Malificent's castle when she took her form as a dragon? Is that what you mean?"
I shrug. "I guess. Can you show me where the castle is?"
He looks at me in disbelief. "Why would you want to go there?!"
"I need a spell." I simply state, pressing my lips together firmly.
He turns back to face us, surprisingly giggling. "Magic always comes with a price, dearie!" Suddenly, he steps closer to me with a serious expression on his sweaty face, his lips curving into an evil smile. "You should know best."
I swallow a huge lump in my throat as I take a deep breath, thinking about the boy and girl in my dreadful dreams.
