It was a sudden statement that shocked everyone, but it wasn't unexpected. Black*star didn't like this guy and for the obvious reason that he use to like her. He knew he still did but he rather have Aden going out with her instead of that Ruko guy. And that's saying something.

Cassy was sadden that they didn't accept Ruko but to her, it didn't matter. Tsubaki hasn't said anything, and she feels like she doesn't accept him either. Cassy was wondering why they didn't accept Ruko but she didn't want to ask now. It wasn't the right time.

It was awkwardly silent, but the tension died when Black*star got up.

"Thanks for sharing this with us but we're heading out now," He said casually. Tsubaki followed behind as Black*star walked through the door leaving Cassy, Aden and Ruko by themselves.

The quietness of Cassy's and Aden's apartment started killing Cassy so much. She felt so uncomfortable and it worried her since Aden didn't want to talk to her. She would flash a simple smile as she was walking by but he would turn the other way. In truth, Aden wasn't sure how to deal with this. He knew how Cassy was feeling but he wanted to be distant from her until he got a proper response to give her. It was hard for many reasons, but even he didn't know what to say about it.

They both wandered about the house as Aden sat in the living room with his headphones, ever so slowly drifting off but woke up again to see Cassy passing by. Cassy didn't bother even to look at him for awhile so she cleaned quietly and made food. She took her food into her room and didn't come out unless she needed to go to the bathroom or get food or leave plates in the kitchen. As much as Aden wanted to say sorry, he wasn't sure how to say it or when so he tried going before Cassy went to sleep.

He hesitatingly approached her room door and knocked softly.

"Cassy," He whispered. No one answered him. He took that as a sign to go inside and he slowly opened the door. To his view, Cassy was laying in her bed, facing away from him with her earphones on. He let out a sigh of relief as he slowly approached her. At that moment he thought she was awake just that she didn't want to answer him, so he tapped her lightly to get her attention.

"Cassy," He called to her again. She didn't say anything and didn't move. He started to get worried a bit but maybe she was asleep? He moved her so she was laying on her back and saw that she was asleep with her eyes softly closed and her mouth slightly opened. She looked so peaceful yet there was tears still visible on her cheeks, Aden couldn't help but wipe the remains tears that were killing him at the moment.

Was it bad to see her differently now, he questioned himself, feeling her cheek then touched her lips. Right at the edge when he felt her lips, he didn't feel any breathing, any air that should be running out her mouth. He quickly checked her pulse by placing two fingers on her neck and certainly enough she wasn't breathing.

What do I do?! He panicked and quickly trying to think of something, he shook Cassy, holding her shoulders and shaking her a bit too hard.

"Cassy!" He shouted to her and that's when she shot up quickly bumping her head against Aden's. They both let out a groan as they rub their sore forehead.

"That was unexpected," Aden said as he stopped rubbing his forehead. Cassy continued to run her forehead as she hesitatingly looked over at him.

"Why were you shaking me?" She asked.

"What do you mean? You weren't breathing!"

"Then why am I alive if I wasn't breathing?" Aden groaned at his partner. She was stubborn, he'll give her that, but sometimes it's annoying to him.

"What other reason would I be shaking you then? I wasn't trying to wake you up that's for sure," He raised his voice a bit too loud and Cassy took that as a challenge.

"Don't shout at me," She said.

"How can I if you almost died!"

"If I was dead then I wouldn't have had a nightmare of losing you!" The secret was out. It wasn't much of a confession but it surely made it seem like it. Aden was a bit taken back and lost his words unknowingly. He was planning on telling her sorry for everything but this made it worse for him to comprehend what was happening inside his head.

He looked down at his hands as Cassy did the same. What was he going to say? Should he let her down nice or tell her that he has been taken over by her? He didn't want to hurt her, but he still didn't want to tell her anything. He liked her but he still pressed down his emotions for her. What am I suppose to do?

* * *

It took Ruko a while to process what happen earlier at Cassy's house. Black*star left with Tsubaki with a face of 'you're not welcome here' and it bothered him so much. Aden hated him. Just by looking at him he knew he was an over-protective guy and one that doesn't trust many.

It seem to him that Black*star and Aden like her, but he wasn't going to do anything about it. Anyway, she changed and Ruko hates change. He didn't see that sweet girl he wanted to take care. He wanted to be the man of the relationship and not have a girlfriend who was a weapon who can probably slice him at any moment. It bothered him but he still liked her and would protect her at any cost. It's the least he can do for Keita.

He was confusedly walking around his own apartment until he stopped right in front of a picture. The picture frame was broken but inside, the picture was unharmed. Ruko walked over to the damaged frame and smiled when he saw the crack glass of the frame and the smiles plastered on the three people's faces. Taking it into his hand he glossed over it, removing all the extra glass that happen to be still attached on the frame.

It was last night when it happen. He came back hoping for a good news of Cassy and her family but when he found out about her entrance into the DWMA, he broke. There was a promise made between him and his partner and he just broke it. He smashed the frame accidentally yet he didn't care at that sudden moment so he went out to look for Cassy or at least walk around to calm him down. Eventually he did find Cassy and things ended up like this. He sighed out of pure frustration and placed back the picture he so deeply cared about. It made him sick to his stomach that he was willing to stop Cassy from doing anything and the fact that the promise, and the picture are broken.

He had to do something in order to stop all this, but the question was....

How?

He didn't want Aden or Black*star to get involved and surely enough he didn't want either one of them to fall in love with Cassy or even touch her the way a boyfriend would. If he had to choose between who was more harder to deal with, Ruko would choose Aden. He seems too unexpected and who knows how he actually is. He knew that Aden had an anger that can take over him, and just watching him groan and talk to him, confirmed it.
