"Mom! I'll be leaving now!" I shout. My mom turns a corner from the kitchen, smiling at me.
"Ok dear. You packed everything you needed?" She asks. Suddenly, someone comes in through the front door.
"Hey, I'm home!" He shouts. I turn around to see my dad in his work clothes.
"Hey dad. You think you could take me to the bus stop instead? I don't want to walk all the way over there." I tell him.
"Yeah, sure sweety, I'll take you." He responds. He opens the front door again. My mother says her last goodbyes before I dash out the door.
***Few minutes later, at the bus stop***
We get to my bus stop. I look all around, and I can't believe I'm going to DWMA. I open the door to my dad's truck. I turn around and look at him with a smile.
"Your going to be ok." My dad says. He smiles back.
"Of course, dad. I'll see you guys." I say. I blow a kiss to him, and I walk over to the bus stop. In only a few minutes, the bus arrives, and I wave to my dad. He waves back, while I get onto the bus. I sit down in the back seats so I can see my dad's truck. The bus moves forward, making the truck look smaller and smaller, until eventually the truck is nowhere to be seen.
I look forward, and I see I'm not the only one. There's a kid with dark red hair sitting towards the front. I look at the back of his head. He has his head against the window, seeming like he was sleeping. For some reason, I fell in love with his hair. It was dark red, a color as dark as the color of blood put into a jar. The length was the right amount. It got to his ear, where it came out a bit. But going to the top of his head, it came up as if the air was blowing his hair up. It wasn't too long. It was long enough. I guess its called a buzz cut, or something like that. I'm not that type of person that knows about hair styles.
I think he must of felt my eyes on him because he turned around, and looked at me. I didn't know what to do, so I just smiled and waved. He just smiled and turned back around.
Nice going Cassy. You could of been friends with him. Now it's awkward! I look again to the back of the guys head. I shook my head. I didn't want to think about boys at the moment. I have never went out with one and I don't plan to either. Most guys I've met were jerks.
I look out the window and stare with no intention what so ever. We ride onto a freeway, which leads to a bridge. Underneath the bridge is trillions of pounds of water. It seems like the bridge was cut short because we got to the airport before I knew it. The bus stops and I get off. Suddenly, someone taps me on my shoulder.
"Hey." I turn around. Its the guy with the red hair. Why is he talking to me?
"Um." I couldn't manage to say anything. He was talking to me and I didn't know why. He must want to ask me something stupid. That's for sure.
He laughs out of nowhere. "Sorry to just talk to you like this, but I was wondering if your also going to the DWMA?" He asks. I flinch and he laughs again. "What's wrong? Cat caught your tongue?"
I shake my head. "Sorry. Anyways, yes. I am going to the DWMA. I'm guessing you are too?"
He nods with a smile on his face. "Yeah. I was hoping I would meet someone else from Cali going to the DWMA. I see you are. I'm Aden."
I hold out my hand. "I'm Cassy. Nice to meet you." I smile. He doesn't take my hand, he just looks at it and lets out a snicker.
"I don't shake hands, sweetie." He says, before walking to the airport doors.
