Chapter 18

It was a school day, Monday morning, and Black*star walked alone again. He ended up waking up late again and Tsubaki once again made breakfast for him. He was happy but nervous and he didn't know why. It was a nice day and the feeling of the atmosphere was great. Nothing can ruin this day, right?

He entered the DWMA with a great smirk and saw the sight of his friends standing outside the classroom they should be in. He approached the group with curiosity, getting a simple grin from his best friend.

"Hey Black*star, just in time," The white haired friend said.

"What can I say?" Black*star gloated, earning a eye roll from Soul's partner.

"Well, you came in time. You still don't know what we're doing," Maka commented, getting a proud smile from the blue head.

"No worries! It's probably easy." Tsubaki, who was standing quietly with the group, looked worried. She wasn't sure if it was easy or not, but they had to test in something and she was afraid to fail. She doesn't know why but she's been getting a sickening feeling since this morning. Maybe it was the fact that Cassy came to their apartment building with tears streaming down her face. She was completely uncertain.

As soon as Black*star stopped exaggerating about himself, the door to Stein's class opened. Two people came out with smiles on their face and their bodies close to one another, changing the expression of the blue-haired friend.

"Black*star and Tsubaki," Stein called out, snapping Black*stars' attention from the two. Tsubaki walked before him and entered the classroom, slowly after Black*star entered. Soul and Maka stared at their dazed friend enter the classroom a while ago, seeing his fixed attention on the two. There's a thing they don't know about Cassy and Aden and they knew Black*star will be upset about it. Cassy doesn't want to keep it a secret from Black*star, and even more after what they had told her.

When both Cassy and Aden came to the DWMA, they met up with Maka, Soul and Tsubaki. They approached the group hand in hand, smiling to each other and finding very uncertain looks on their friends faces. Even if they were happy, the others weren't sure how to even process the situation at that certain moment.

They got to the group, still smiling until feeling the atmosphere and reading their friends expressions.

"Um, what's up everyone?" Cassy greeted really confused. They smiled a bit nervously to them, getting the happy Aden a bit annoyed.

"Come on guys. What's up?" Aden asked. Tsubaki looked over at Maka who looked at Soul. Soul had a straight face and sighed, looking up at the now new couple.

"It's about your childhood friend Cassy," Soul began. "Do you think he'll be happy to see you like this?"

"Wait... What are you talking about? You're just complicating things if you are putting things in a riddle," Cassy joked. Soul didn't say anything, instead explained to her about Black*star's feelings towards her. Cassy's expression changed. Her once happy face changed to a blank one, making Aden look at her with saddening eyes.

I'm sorry Black*star...

Class was over and Black*star was nowhere to be found. Tsubaki was so confused and was so worried that she asked all the people around if they have seen black*star. Most of them have said he left early, but Tsubaki had a feeling he was still around, so she continued to look.

It was becoming tiresome until she saw a very expressionless Cassy and a worried Aden walking around the now empty school. Tsubaki quickly jogged to them, making Cassy look up with hopeful eyes.
