The next morning was oddly normal. I woke up to the smell of breakfast through the house and I licked my lips to the taste. I hesitantly walk to the kitchen and I see Tsubaki making food, a light blue apron around her body. She hasn't noticed me. For once I'm glad she hasn't seem me. The incident from last night, I felt like a total asshole for all that but even then, I don't think my feelings have changed for her. For Tsubaki I mean. I'm bothered by it and I don't know how to deal with it.

I continue to think through in my mind and as soon as I was about to look up, Tsubaki turns around and walks up to with a plate of food in her hand. She smiles at me as I awkwardly stare at her, handing me a plate with pancakes, bacon, eggs, and hashbrowns; the usual breakfast of every movie and story. It's because it's too good to ignore.

I take the plate from Tsubaki. I look down at the plate and lick my lips in amusement and hunger for its amazing texture.

"After this Cassy has asked us to join her at her house," Tsubaki commented. I quickly looked at her but she wasn't angry or sad. She smiled gently and I sighed unknowingly.

"What's wrong?" She asked suddenly.

"Its nothing," I answered. "Why does she want to see us?" I add. She shrugs and proceeds in taking a plate for herself.

"I don't know, but she said it was urgent so we should hurry." I nod and I happily eat my breakfast with a smile on my face. Tsubaki might think I'm weird for enjoying her food too much but I still appreciate her. Just because I don't like her that way doesn't mean I wouldn't like her as a best friend.

[Third Person Point of View]

After a 20 minutes later, Black*Star and Tsubaki walked over to Cassy's and Aden's apartment wondering what was so important. It was a bit unsettling for them both so they tried speeding to their apartment even though they live across the street.

As soon as they hit the rookies door, the door swung open and Aden stood there with a face of relief.

"You guys made it," He said. He widens the door so they can both come in. Walking in, Black*star looked around the nicely organized apartment but Cassy wasn't around.

"Where's Cassy-chan?" Tsubaki asks. They both looked over at Aden as he sighed like if something was irritating him. He didn't have to say anything as for two people came from the hallway. Cassy seem to have been crying and she tried wiping her tears away with the hem of her sleeve. Aden and Black*star quickly took a notice, looking up at the man behind her who put a hand on her shoulder.

She finally looked up to look at the group before her and smiled sadly. "I want you guys to meet Ruko Asuwa, my brother's best friend and meister." Aden's eyes widen along with Black*star's and Tsubaki's calm frowns. It was confusing to the blue haired boy and the black haired girl who didn't exactly know about the situation at hand. Why were they there? What can they do?

Cassy looked over at Adan who was looking away with so much frustration, so she turned to Black*star and Tsubaki. They didn't have to wait for the cue. They knew she was going to tell them something that will be personal and she called them for that reason. They nodded and it began.

Cassy began with her brother and Ruko at the academy. They were top students. Somewhat similar to Maka and Soul, Ruko was the smartest of the two and was the Meister who wield her brother. After a few years of going to that school, Keita decided to show her little sister around the school, showing her the beautiful sites and teachers of the famous academy.

It wasn't long until Cassy met Ruko and the older fell in love with the little sister of his best friend. He knew it was stupid to fall for someone who was well protected by her brother so he tried forgetting her. They were only about four years older than her but still. He didn't find it right.

As time progressed, Keita felt like it was time to show her little sister what he's made of and so Cassy went on his missions once in a while. It was strange to Ruko to actually bring her along because their missions were very dangerous and Keita didn't seem bothered by it. Cassy was a bit scared but nothing bad happen to her so Keita and Ruko weren't too worried.

As Ruko moved on to the incident of the story, he was a bit nervous. He was nervous because they might think he was a bad for leaving his friend like that. He explained that Cassy was captured by those kishins and when Keita went to save her, he shield the attack. Cassy was paralyzed at her brother's body on the floor, from the puddle of blood extending so far to the tears that were coming from Keita. It was scary and Ruko was devastated.

Ruko defeated the kishins with a near by bat that some thief dropped and quickly took Cassy to his and Keita's apartment. He couldn't think straight and it was driving him crazy. He wanted to leave at once but he need to take Cassy back to her parents and so he did. He knocked on the door but no one answered so he opened the door to place finding it unlocked.

"Ruko-sama," Cassy looked up at Ruko as he brought her up to her room. He didn't say anything, he just placed her on her bed and tucked her in.

"Please forgive me," He whispered. He bowed his head. He was kneeling next to her bed, feeling anger and tears run down his face. She was starting to cry too and she was only able to hug him. He returned the hug with so much guilt, so much anger and fear that he couldn't stay here. He didn't want to either.

He let go of her. They looked at each other and he planted a light kiss on her forehead. "Take care," He said before walking out the room and out the house, never to be seen again. Until now.

Black*star was annoyed along with Aden who has been ignoring the gaze of the older. "After I left I went looking for the body again and properly buried it. I wasn't sure whether or not to tell her parents or not, so I called Cassy."

"I told them and of course we went to see his grave," Cassy said, sighing after she finished speaking. It was quiet for a bit, unknowingly quiet. The group didn't know what to say, it was just awkward.

"Why did you come back," Black*star asked, finally breaking the tension in the room and catching to sudden attention of Aden.

Ruko looked over at Black*star and shrugged innocently.

"I felt like I left Cassy without anyone to look out for her, and the only other brother figure she had was me," He explained.

"Why now when you should have just stayed in the first place?" Black*star asked again.

"Yeah. Why didn't you stay? She needed someone to look up to," Tsubaki suddenly said. Ruko was going to speak but it surprised him that Cassy spoke for him.

"He was a afraid," She said. "He was afraid and it was too much for him so I don't blame him. Plus, he doesn't have that responsibility. It's not his responsibility either." Aden clicked his tongue and everyone quickly turned to him.

"What's wrong Aden?" Cassy asked him.

"He shouldn't have returned, that's all I'm saying," He responded with a hiss. Cassy was confused on why Aden was acting this way. She was going to protest against it.

"I think the same way."
