Black Star Story ~ A Star Can Love Too

Chapter 16

"Cassy..." He looked at his partner with a bit of guilt inside his eyes that even Cassy took notice of. She was uncomfortable and even felt like walking away with her embarrassed self, but she sat there with her eyes on Aden. He stared back at her and soon enough, Aden kissed her. She didn't expect it but she didn't reject it either. It felt better than she anticipated it to be and as soon as he moved back, she smiled really gently.

"Does this mean...?" She began to question. Cassy was happy with this, but only Aden was not. He doesn't know why and he doesn't plan to find out.

"Cassy, don't take this the wrong way but..." He stopped himself from saying anything. If he said anything that can hurt her feelings, she will say something to one of her friends and eventually Black*star will find out and rampage against him. Maybe he wasn't paying attention to Cassy's feelings but if he wasn't then he wouldn't have thought about her feelings just now.

Her look changed with that cut off sentence and she looked away in total pain. It was annoying to her. She knew he had feelings for her yet he was afraid. Stupid Aden is so closed with his emotions that it caused Cassy pain.

"I'm- I'll be going out," With stale in her voice, Cassy walked out of her room, grabbing a jacket off the hanger in the living room and walked out the apartment. Aden didn't stop her, even if he wanted to, he wouldn't be able to look at her at all, and it will only built that guilt inside him.

He stood up and walked to the front door, seeing as Cassy left it open, he closed it ever so slowly. He did mess up and this time he barely said anything. How stupid can I be?

Night has fallen and Tsubaki was sitting on her couch watching some comedic dramas, laughing lightly as the main character would do the sweetest yet dumbest things ever for the girl he loved. She took some popcorn into her mouth but eventually her popcorn ran out and so she went to make some more. She paused the drama, turning on the light to see better. She didn't even step into the kitchen yet when she heard a knock on the door.

Who could that be, she questioned, placing the bowl on the counter and walking over to the lock door, unlocking it to see Cassy with tears in her eyes.

"Cassy?"

It was late. Midnight, and late for all this. Tsubaki placed a mug of hot chocolate on the coffee table in the living room, sitting next to a teary Cassy. She hadn't said anything and Tsubaki had knew what had happening. She knew it involved Aden, just that she didn't know how complicated the situation is at the moment.

"Tell me... What happened," Tsubaki soothed, turning her body towards Cassy. It was unnatural to Tsubaki to see Cassy like this; emotionless eyes, pale skin and trembling legs that made it difficult to think. Tsubaki gently placed her hand to calm her as Cassy sighed breathlessly.

"How can I love someone who doesn't even understand my feelings," Cassy questioned suddenly, catching the calm Tsubaki off guard.

You're not the only one, Tsubaki mentally sighed. She looked over at Cassy's eyes which were plastered onto the mug on the coffee table. Tsubaki wasn't sure what to do after that question, feeling as how tense Cassy got and how she seemed so broken at that moment. Tsubaki heard a click of a door and saw Black*star at the edge of the hallway, looking over at Tsubaki with furrowed eyes. She was only able to give him a simple sad expression before Black*star sat down beside Cassy.

"...Cassy," Black*star lowly said, getting the attention of the depressed childhood friend. "What did Aden do?" Black*star asked, sounded a bit irritated even if he tried hiding it.

She bit her lip, ready to feel her tears come down. She prepared herself and told both of her friends what happened. Tsubaki was struck with complete sadness because that's her current situation. On the hand, Black*star...

He was ready to rip Aden apart.

Sorry for the short chapter. The next part will be long and will probably not be an actual chapter. More like an interlude of some sort where you'll be able to read about Aden's thoughts. He's a complicated character and he's semi based off a guy I currently have a crush on - though Aden is such a sweetheart compared to the real guy (differently named) - and semi based off of a character called Otani from Lovely Complex (I recommend it! It's a Comedic Romance Story, and it's freak hilarious! I've watched it like three times and I'm re-watching it again currently)!
