It was 2 in the afternoon. I was in my room folding some of the washed clothes to put them back in the wardrobe while Olivia was preparing lunch. I know it was late but none of us were hungry. We spoke for a while about going to Oklahoma but left the topic.
Two pair of arms embraced me from behind and I jumped a little in surprise. "You're home at an unusual time," I say smiling.
"Just was missing my wife a lot so thought of leaving work early," William says as he kisses my head.
"Doesn't sound like you."
He lets go off me and turns around. "Alright, I will go back to work," he says and heads towards the door.
I grab his wrist. "I was joking," I say and place a kiss on his lips. It felt like forever since we shared a sweet moment like this. He wrapped his arms around my waist, pulling me closer to him and deepening the kiss. My arms were wrapped around his neck as we kissed passionately.
"Where is all this love coming from?" I ask as we pull apart, resting our forehead together; our breathing heavy.
"It was always here," he whispers and kisses my cheeks, making me blush.
"Rachelle! Lunch is ready," Olivia shouts from downstairs. I look at William, waiting for him to let go off me but he doesn't. He stares at me with such intensity in his eyes that one would say he was seeing right through my soul.
"Will?" I whisper and snaps out of whatever he was thinking.
"I was just too lost in your beauty honey," he says making me roll my eyes. He places a kiss on my forehead before letting me go. I put the last piece of clothes inside the wardrobe while William removes his and throws them on the bed.
"Are you serious?" I say crossing my arms.
"Ohh, I am sorry," William says putting an innocent face and gathers his clothes on one corner of the bed. I just shake my head at him.
"Honey," William calls out just as I was about to exit the room. I stop in the doorway and turn towards him, waiting for him to say whatever he wanted to.
"I almost forgot to tell; I've to leave for LA tonight," he says casually and I frown.
"What? You just came from a project few days back."
"I know, but it wasn't in LA. Now that I'm promoted, I told you that there'd be times where I'll have to fly to places to see the show myself and choose the best pictures and events to be mentioned in the magazine," he says calmly looking at me. I say nothing in response but keep my eyes to the floor.
He walks towards me and lifts my head up. "Look, I know it's upsetting for you that I leave under unusual circumstances but I got to work right?"
I nod a little and force a smile. "It's fine Will, I understand. When will you be back?"
"I'll be there for two days, so you'll be back in my arms on Thursday," he says smirking.
"Hopefully," I say and hug him. He hugs me back tighter, comforting me. No matter what happens between William and me, I know how much I love him and I also know how much he loves me. Only he can bring out the rage in me but only he can comfort me in the best way. God knows how lucky I am to be his. I will always be his.
'You were supposed to be mine' suddenly this sentence crossed my mind and I got reminded of the ring the creeper send me. Was I really supposed to be someone else's before I met William? If so, then why don't I remember it? Why don't I remember whether I had fallen in love with someone else? People fall in love when they are in high school and stuff; heck I don't remember that either. All I know is that I never felt in love with anyone but William; he was my first and he will be my last. No one will tear us apart. No one.
