4. Austin
"Hey, you're back" Rosa says, as she opens the door to the bakery for me.
"Yeah, I came to pick up Rowan" I say, walking past her as she locks the door behind me.
"You can just head back there" She motions to the kitchen "I have to finish cleaning the tables"
"Okay" I nod, walking around the counter and to the kitchen. I walk in as Rowan packs the leftovers into boxes, putting them in a bag "Hi"
"Hi Austin" She smiles, wrapping her arms around my shoulders "I uh, just have to finish to finish packing these up and then I'll be done"
"Take your time" I say, leaning in to kiss her softly before taking a seat at the small table in the kitchen "How was your day?"
"Busy" She huffs "I don't think we've ever been this busy on a Sunday, and I have to make 3 dozen cupcakes for some party on tomorrow" She runs a hand over her face in frustration "So I'll probably be baking all night"
"Relax" I walk up behind her, rubbing her shoulders "It'll all be okay"
"I know" She nods, with a sigh "Enough about me, how was your day?" She says, throwing the bags of leftovers onto her shoulder.
"It's a lot better now" I wink, and she chuckles.
"Good one" She snorts, walking out of the kitchen. I turn off the light when I walk out "Rosa, I'm leaving now" Rowan says.
"Alright, have fun. Use protection, call me if you need help baking" She giggles, and Rowan rolls her eyes, a smile on her face.
"Ready?" She asks, turning to face me.
"Yeah" I nod, placing my hand on the small of her back "Bye Rosa" I wave, and she waves back.
"Bye Austin"
I lead Rowan out to my car, opening the door for her. She thanks me, and climbs in, sitting her bag on her lap. I run around to the other side of the car, and get in, following her directions to her house. Once we get there, she climbs out, and we walk up to her front door, her unlocking it to let me in.
"I'm just planning on baking and maybe watching a movie, you're welcome to stay if you'd like" She says, walking to her kitchen.
"Um, sure I can" I nod, and she smiles.
"Okay, I just have to go change. I'll be back" She kisses my cheek, running off to her room. I lean against her kitchen counter, scrolling through twitter. Rowan comes back to her kitchen moments later, wearing shorts, a sweatshirt and knee socks.
"Shit, I have to feed my cat" She says, reaching into the top cabinet in her kitchen, and I fight every urge I have to look at her ass.
"Do you actually have a cat?" I ask, looking around.
"Yeah" She nods, pulling out the cat food "He should be here somewhere" She pours food into a bowl, sitting it down on the floor. The sound of a ringing bell gets louder, and soon her cat runs into the kitchen "See"
"I do" I chuckle.
"Alright, now to the baking part" She says, pulling out a large bowl "Wanna help?" She asks.
"Sure" I shrug, and she smiles.
"Cool, can you get me some eggs out of the fridge?" She points to her fridge, and I nod, pulling out the carton of eggs.
"How many?"
"6" She says, and I pull out six eggs putting the carton back into the fridge. By the time I walk back to her, she already has a bowl with everything in it and I look at her in surprise "Don't be so surprised" She chuckles, cracking the six eggs into the bowl "I do this for a living" She giggles, mixing up the batter "Can you get me 3 cupcake trays from the cabinet next to me? And in the one above me there's cups for the cupcakes"
