1. Austin

"Austin! There you are!" Mack comes up to me, wrapping her arm around my shoulder.

"Yeah, sorry it took me so long" I sigh "This new guy came in today, it's a wonder how he was even signed, guy had no talent. But he wants some crazy video for his single but has such a low budget" I sit across from her in the booth, running a hand through my hair.

"Hey Trish" I smile at Mack's girlfriend, and she waves.

"Glad I didn't go in today" She laughs "Who was this guy?" Mack asks.

"I have no idea" I shrug.

"Well, how about you get us some shots for your trouble?" She grins, and I roll my eyes.

"You want me to go get the shots, when I'm the one having troubles? That doesn't add up"

"Just do it, pretty boy" She throws a napkin at me.

"Fine" I huff, rolling my eyes. I walk up to the bar, ordering 6 shots. As the bartender pours my shots, I look to my left, unable to keep myself from staring at the girl a few stools down the bar. She had this dark vibe about her, and it may be linked to the fact that she's wearing dark clothing, along with black lipstick, but it works for her.

I down two of the shots, and look back at Mack and her girlfriend, seeing them too occupied in each other to notice I haven't come back yet. I take that as my chance to drink the rest of the shots as well, marching down to the mystery girl.

When I get closer, I really begin to take in her beauty. She's a gorgeous girl, she has perfectly tanned skin, full lips, she's just all around beautiful.

"Didn't your mom teach you not to stare?" She giggles, taking a drink from her straw. She has a slight accent, maybe she's Spanish but I'm not completely sure.

"It's kind of hard not to" I chuckle, standing between her and the empty bar stool next to her "I'm Austin"

"Rowan" She smiles, her teeth a bright white in contrast to her dark lipstick.

"Can I buy you a drink?" I ask, leaning closer.

"You could, but this one isn't empty yet"

"All you have are alcohol soaked fruit in there" I chuckle "Let me buy you a new one"

"I guess, if it's what you want" She sighs dramatically and I chuckle.

"Sangria?" I ask and she nods, pulling out a piece of pineapple and popping it into her mouth. I walk down the bar, ordering her a sangria, carrying it back down to her.

"Thank you" She grins, taking a drink.

"So tell me" I begin, dragging the bar stool next to her closer and sitting on it "Why are you here all alone?" I lean my elbow onto the bar.

"I'm not" She shakes her head "My friend is somewhere over there, with some random she wanted to dance with" She shrugs "I just didn't want to go with her"

"Seems fair"

"Now tell me" She copies my position "Why are you here talking to me?"

"Because I couldn't stand the thought of not attempting to talk to someone as gorgeous as you"

"Smooth" She giggles "Really smooth, I'm impressed"

"What do you mean?" I chuckle "I'm just stating the truth"

"Oh, I'm sure" She laughs "You just added some things to make it sound better"

"Maybe I did" I shrug "But it all fits"
