"Do I have to look nice?" Rowan whines "There's going to be so many people there, they'll never notice me"

"Babe-"

"And it's cold outside, do you want me to freeze?" She adds.

"No, wear whatever you want"

"Don't say it like that" She points a finger at me.

"Say it like what?" I ask, tilting my head slightly.

"Like it pains you to say that"

"It doesn't pain me to say that" I mock "That's just how it came out" I shrug.

"You make me upset" She huffs, walking to my closet, rummaging through the side with her clothes in it. I sigh and walk over to her, wrapping my arms around her from behind.

"I'm sorry Baby"

"No" She huffs, pushing me off and walking back into my room, sitting down on the edge of my bed. I feel bad for making her upset, especially on New Years Eve. I walk up to her, and lean down to place a kiss on her shoulder, pulling down the sleeve of her shirt to place another one, kissing up to her ear.

"I'm sorry" I whisper "I didn't mean to make you upset"

She sighs heavily, and turns around on my bed to face me, a heavy sigh escaping her mouth "You make me so mad" She rolls her eyes, leaning up to kiss my lips softly.

"I know I do" I chuckle, pecking her lips once more "But you're still with me so, I win" I wink, and she laughs, wrapping her arms around my waist.

"What time are we leaving?"

"Probably in a few minutes" I shrug.

"Alright" She nods.

"I'll go get my mom" I kiss her cheek, walking out of my room and to the guest room. I knock on the door, and my mom opens it smiling at me.

"Hi"

"Hi, we're leaving soon, so I was coming to see if you were ready"

"Yeah, I just have to brush my teeth" She nods.

"Okay, I'll meet you in the living room" I nod, walking back to my room, seeing Rowan putting on lipstick.

"You look nice" I kiss her cheek "We leave for San Antonio tomorrow at noon"

"Oh fuck" She curses "I forgot" She runs to my closet, pulling out random clothes. She comes back into the room, looking around like an idiot, and I chuckle.

"Right there" I point to my suitcase in the corner, and she half smiles, shoving them into my suitcase. She drags it out of the room, and I follow behind her, grabbing her charger that she left plugged in, and shutting the door behind me "Forgetting something?" I hold up her charger, and she gasps.

"That would've been bad" She chuckles, taking it from me "Thanks" She kisses my cheek, putting it into the suitcase. My mom walks out right after Rowan zips it back up, her purse and suitcase in hand.

"Everyone ready?" She asks, and we nod. I grab my car keys and we go down to my car, driving to Times Square.

"How much time is left?" Rowan yells over the screaming people.

"About two minutes" I yell back, and she nods, linking her arm through mine. I kiss her temple as we watch the final performance of the year, and soon, we're all counting down.
