I was surprised there were no comments about hating McKenna last chapter😂
26. Rowan.

    I wake up around 4 in the morning, and furrow my eyebrows in confusion at the empty space beside me. I climb out of bed, and walk to the front door, pulling it open to see if Austin's car is there. I contemplate calling him, but I decide against it, instead choosing to wait up for him to get back.

I walk back into his room, and sit on the bed, my phone lighting up with a bunch of snapchat messages. I click on a few of them, all the ones that are blue, not pink.

::ROWAN YOU HAVE TO LOOK UP AUSTIN ON GOOGLE! YOURE NOT GOING TO BE HAPPY!

After, seeing the other ones are much like that one, I get suspicious and walk out to the kitchen, grabbing Austin's laptop on my way there. I hop onto the counter and type in his password, opening Google. I take a deep breath and type in his name, reading the headers.

Austin already cheating on his girlfriend with ex McKenna?

Are Austin and his new beauty Rowan over?

Austin caught smooching his ex McKenna

I begin to feel sick to my stomach at these messages, unable to believe that he'd kiss her. I want to not believe it, but there's picture proof of her with her lips all over my boyfriend. I close out of Google, just as the door opens, Austin walking in looking flustered.

"Hi, you look flustered" I tilt my head at him.

"Just tired"

"Where'd you go?" I ask.

"Just out" He shrugs.

"You sure?" I ask suspiciously "Because you can tell me" I say, wanting him to admit to what he did.

"I know Baby" He walks over to me, wrapping his arms around my shoulders.

"Alright" I nod, kissing his neck lightly "Go back to sleep" I chuckle.

"Come with me" He pouts, and I roll my eyes.

"I'll be in in a minute" I smile.

"Okay" He frowns.

"Don't be upset"

"But I want to cuddle" He kisses my cheek, and I nearly cringe at the fact that he was kissing McKenna not too long ago.

"Fine, fine" I shake my head, logging off his laptop and following him to his room. I lay down on my back in his bed, and Austin rests his head on my chest, sliding his hand into mine. Once he falls asleep, I pull out my phone and book a flight home that leaves in a couple of hours.

Sure, I may be acting immature, but he kissed someone else and didn't tell me about it. If he had just told me and explained himself, I wouldn't have this problem. I wouldn't be so upset, and leave. After about a half an hour of him sleeping, I crawl out of bed, Austin groaning and turning over. I grab an outfit from his suitcase and change into it, grabbing one of his t-shirts and carrying it with me.

Grabbing my phone and my charger I walk out of his house and call a taxi, taking it to the airport. I pick up my plane ticket and go through security boarding my flight.

"Hi" A guy says, sitting down beside me "I'm Trevor"

"Rowan, it's nice to meet you"

"You as well" He nods with a friendly smile "So, are you visiting someone in New York?"

"No" I shake my head "I live there. I came here with my boyfriend, but decided to leave a little early"

"And he let you by yourself?"

"He doesn't exactly know" I shrug "But he's a busy man, so I'd probably tell him to stay anyways"

"Seems like a good enough excuse" He chuckles.

"I don't mean to sound rude, but I haven't slept at all, so I think I'm going to nap"

"Oh, okay" Trevor nods.

I lean my head against the window, and close my eyes falling asleep to the hum of the airplane. I'm woken up by a voice over the intercom telling us it's to,e to fasten our seat belts. I put my on, and the plane lands, and we all get off the plane. I check the time when I get off, seeing it's almost 7 in the morning. I decide against calling Rosa, and call Charlie instead knowing he wouldn't mind picking me up from the airport.

"Good morning, Ms. Mendoza" He greets me with a smile.

"Good morning Charlie, please call me Rowan" I smile back, and he opens the door for me.

"So what made you leave Miami early?" He asks, tapping his fingers on the steering wheel.

"Well, have you seen what's all over the tabloids already?" I ask, and he shakes his head "Well, Austin kissed this girl McKenna who's apparently his ex girlfriend that he's never told me about, and he didn't tell me about it, so I decided to just leave because I didn't want to lash it on him" I explain and Charlie nods along.

"I know about McKenna, she's always been one to ruin things" He frowns "She was a jealous girlfriend and she's an even more jealous ex-girlfriend"

"I can tell" I sigh "I just don't understand what I did wrong, what did I do to make her hate me?"

"You have Austin, you have what she wants and she hates that she can't have him" Charlie shrugs.

"Well, she can have him" I roll my eyes, and Charlie sighs.

"Don't say that" He shakes his head "You two were made for each other, and I'm sure he'd never cheat on purpose. Let him explain because I'm one-hundred percent sure there's more to the story" He says, pulling into my driveway.

"Thank you Charlie" I hug him tightly.

"You're welcome Rowan, you're a nice girl and I'm glad Austin's found someone like you" He smiles, and I climb out of the car, walking up to my front porch. I wave at him as he drives away and I unlock my door. My cat comes running up to me and I pick him up, kissing his head.

"I missed you Buddy"

"Rowan, what are you doing here?" Rosa asks tiredly, walking up to me.

"I decided to come home early, now we can go over interior for the bakery" I shrug, filling up my cats food bowl and walking to my living room with my laptop.

"Why'd you really come home early?"

"He kissed his ex, and he didn't tell me" I sigh, and she frowns.

"When did this happen?"

"Earlier this morning" I shrug, and she rolls her eyes.

"You gave him not even four hours to tell you, Rowan that's not enough time"

"He had time to tell me, he should've told me as soon as he walked in. If they don't tell you as soon as it happens, they're keeping something" I frown.

"Ro, you should've waited until morning, he's probably worried sick"

"Well, he should've thought about that before leaving to go see her" I shrug, logging into my laptop.
